Error in Rcpp/inline (Windows XP)
Hi, everyone,
I am just trying to use Rcpp in my computer, and I would like to try a
simple example from website, but R keeps reporting me error. I am using
Windows XP, and has installed Rtools and GSI.
Here is the response:

Setting up a windows system for rcpp
I am running into a wall getting my system to work with rcpp and inline.
Following Dirk's advice on stackoverflow, I hope someone is able to help
me.
My steps were to install MinGW 32 bit first, then installing Rtools, I
disabled MinGW's entry in the PATH.
I am trying to get the following code to work:
library(Rcpp)
library(inline)

Problema de compilacion con Rcpp
Hola,
necesito compilar un programa de tipo source (Rstan) con c++
La propia web del programa indica como hacerlo con Rcpp. Sin embargo no
consigo que funcione Rcpp ni con un ejemplo básico.
He seguido las instrucciones que vienen en
http://tonybreyal.wordpress.com/2011/12/07/installing-rcpp-on-windows-7-for-r-and-c-integration/
Tengo instalado Rtools y los paths correspondientes, pero no

crash in using Rcpp and inline packages.
Hi all,
I am using c++ functions in R by Rcpp and inline packages.
The code is quite simple, but the R session always automatically crash after some running time.
Does anyone here familiar with Rcpp and inline? What¡¯s the problem in the following code?
I have checked the input values, no NA and other strange value exists.
Thank you for your attention!

Rcpp with OpenMP - Need example Makevars
Dear R experts,
recently I started developing a Rcpp package "OpenMPTest".
Within that package I want to use OpenMP, as in the following code example:
// header file
#include <omp.h>
using namespace Rcpp ;
RcppExport SEXP testOpenMP( SEXP nThreads ) ;
// cpp file
SEXP testOpenMP( SEXP nThreads ) {
BEGIN_RCPP
NumericVector numberThreads = NumericVector( nThreads );

Error using Rcpp under windows xp
Hi,
I am a newbie to Rcpp packages, and got problems in having basic set-ups for
Rcpp under windows xp. Here is the list I have done.
1) installed Rtools and have no problem in compiling .c file.
2) installed Rcpp packages
3) set enviroment variables 'path' to make C:\Program
Files\R\R-2.12.0\library\Rcpp\include\ searchable
The sample C++ code I used is from the original website:

Rcpp 0.7.0: R/C++ integration now even easier
Rcpp version 0.7.0 went onto CRAN this weekend. The key new features are
o inline support, taken from Oleg Sklyar's neat inline package and
adapted/extented to support Rcpp as well as external libraries
(see below for an example); this even works on Windows (provided you
have Rtools installed and configured);
o addition of a new simple type RcppSexp for importing or

inline/Rcpp: Problem with space in path under Windows
I am trying to run inline/Rcpp under Windows 64. The RTools are installed on
a spaceless path D:\rtools.
Inlining pure c-code works perfectly. When I try the sample code for cpp in
the cxx Documentation, I get:
x86_64-w64-mingw32-g++.exe: C:/Program: No such file or directory
The path to the compiler is correct. Obviously there is some problem with
the space in C:/Program (Files).
Any ideas

I did need however to install Rcpp and RInside from source, and with the same
compiler used to compile qtdensity (otherwise I would get additional linker
errors). As I had trouble getting the (Cygwin-based) g++ shipped with Rtools
to work with Qt, I used instead the

Toolchains for x64 Windows
The MinGW-w64 project, whose toolchains we use for 64-bit Windows,
have made some changes to their conventions *and* removed all the
older binary builds from their site. The current toolchains are not
suitable for use with R 2.11.x, and I've re-packaged an older version
(which is) as

The most critical change is to no longer have

[Rcpp-devel] Setting the R random seed from Rcpp
This would be easier if base::set.seed() accepted a value of .Random.seed
instead of just a scalar integer or, new to R-3.0.0, NULL. If set.seed() returned the
previous value of .Random.seed (NULL if there was no previous value) things
might be even easier. People should not have to know where .Random.seed
is stored.
S+'s set.seed() accepts a value of .Random.seed but does not return the

Error Rscript: No such file or directory
Hello,
I'm trying to build a simple cpp file using the R CMD SHLIB command and I always
receive the same error message:
cygwin warning:
MS-DOS style path detected: C:/PROGRA~1/R/R-212~1.1/etc/i386/Makeconf
Preferred POSIX equivalent is:
/cygdrive/c/PROGRA~1/R/R-212~1.1/etc/i386/Makeconf
CYGWIN environment variable option "nodosfilewarning" turns off this warning.

Compile error about using RInside on windows enviroment
I'm going to using RInside on windows enviroment. I installed all tools and packages according to Dirk's instruction.
My R installation reside in d:\hli\programfiles\R-3.2.2. There's no problems with folders with spaces.
The rtools is installed in d:\hli\programfiles\Rtools and MinGW in d: \hli\programfiles\MinGW.
The R_HOME is set to d:\hli\programfiles\R-3.2.2.
