paths and Rook problems only in OSX CRAN binary package?
Hi everyone,
I'm trying to diagnose a problem in my R package, but it is a little
tricky since it seems to occur only with the Mac OSX CRAN binary build.
My package starts a Rook server and opens a browser. On my own system
(details below), when I build the package, I have no trouble. The Rook
server starts and the page loads in the browser.
However, if I've installed it from CRAN, I

missing exported methods when compiling vignettes in R 3.0.0 RC
A new problem has cropped up with compiling vignettes for my package BayesFactor. I'm not sure when it started, but I can tell you it didn't occur on R 2.15.3, and it does on 3.0.0 RC (2013-03-31 r62463) (session info is at the bottom of this message).
I have defined methods for which.min and which.max for a class (I've defined both S3 and S4 methods for the class

as.zoo question
this is probably a question for gabor or achim but maybe someone else
can answer it in case they are not around ?
Ifr you paste the code below ( again you would need the zoo and chron
libraries to be installed ),
you should get the error
"Error in Ops.POSIXt(frequency, freq) : %% not defined for "POSIXt"
objects".
What I want to do is take the numeric vector, lt, and

[compiler-rt] r329776 - [XRay][compiler-rt] Fix osx-based builds
Hi Dean,
For me the build is still broken:

[compiler-rt] r329776 - [XRay][compiler-rt] Fix osx-based builds
Hi Dean,
I have fixed the build failure in r329832.
In general, do you think it would be possible to perform the task using higher-level functions available from AddCompilerRT.cmake?
They were written exactly to avoid such errors.
Regards,
George

problems with integrate ... arguments
Hi everyone,
I saw this problem dealt with here:
http://markmail.org/search/list:r-project?q=integrate#query:list%3Ar-project%20integrate+page:1+mid:qczmyzr676pgmaaw+state:results
but no one answered that request that I can tell. I'm having the same
problem. I'm having problems passing arguments to functions that I'd
like to integrate. I could swear this worked in the past, but I

bug or no?
The following code prints [1] 2, as it should
temp<-function(ab,...){
print(ab)
}
temp(2,s=3)
However, this code prints [1] 3:
temp<-function(sb,...){
print(sb)
}
temp(2,s=3)
It should still print [1] 2. It appears
that if a variable in ... begins with the same letter as another variable,
the value in the variable in ... overwrites the value in the variable with
the same first letter.

MCMCpack: Selecting a better model using BayesFactor
Dear R users,
Thanks in advance.
I am Deb, Statistician at NSW Department of Commerce, Sydney.
I am using R 2.9.1 on Windows XP.
This has reference to the package “MCMCpack”. My objective is to
select a better model using various alternatives. I have provided here
an example code from MCMCpack.pdf.
The matrix of Bayes Factors is:

64-bit OSX binary for 2.9.2
dear R wizards: I am looking for a binary package distribution of R 2.9.2
for OSX . Looking at http://r.research.att.com/ , there seems to be only a
binary for 2.9.0 . is the 2.9.2 version binary package available
somewhere? (at this point, would it make sense to elevate the 64-bit
version to a "standard recommended" rather than just a "boutique" version?)
sincerely, /iaw

R-3.1.0 OSX Snow Leopard installs old binary
Hi All, I am not sure why this happens, but apparently an old binary is
installed by default. Downloading and installing the new binary by hand
works fine.
Is this the intended behavior? If yes, may I ask what is the reason for it?
Thanks, Gabor

a few questions
I don't have any there; I suppose that is the problem. I did a locate
*.xslt and nothing pertaining to icecast came up. I suppose I should
grab the source and check it out. I installed from the rpm.
Thanks,
Richard

Changing text in a tkentry widget
I searched the web and the list archives for a solution to this, but
didn't see anything, so here goes. I'm new to tcltk. I'm trying to
change the contents of a tkentry widget when a button is pressed. Once I
get that working, the widget will be read only to the user. Here is some
toy code:

a few questions
I have just gotten a stream working and it is very cool. I am using
ices0.4 to stream mp3s to icecast2 under redhat 9. I have a couple of
questions, though:
1. No files are being written to the admin directory. It is successfully
writing the access and error logs and the pid file. The path is correct
in the icecast.xml file. The user has write access to the admin
directory. Do I need to turn
