[Bug 58378] [NV86] Distorted graphics on NVIDIA GeForce 8400M G after upgrade the kernel to 3.7.0 version
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=58378
--- Comment #27 from Andreas Loew <awl1 at gmx.net> ---
Hmm - bad news once again:
I have now compiled and tested a 3.6.kernel to match the commit immediately
before the "mega commit", i.e. the kernel tarball has been produced by the
following command:
$ git archive --format=tar

nouveau driver is not loading
Hello,
I have installed git-kernel (3.2-rc3) with git-drm libs on debian. nvidiafb on terminals works fine, but loading of nouveau for Xorg fails. Maybe someone can help me or give me hints (what do I have to change?). The kernel produces the attached output.
Best regards,
Lars Callenbach

[PATCH] drm/nouveau: Add module options to disable acceleration.
noaccel=1 disables all acceleration and doesn't even attempt

[PATCH] drm/nouveau: use designated initializers
Prepare to mark sensitive kernel structures for randomization by making
sure they're using designated initializers. These were identified during
allyesconfig builds of x86, arm, and arm64, with most initializer fixes
extracted from grsecurity.

"userspace nouveau" on NV15
Hello,
I'm trying to get "userspace" nouveau to work on the NV15 card
(GeForce2 GTS - ASUS v7700 TVR).
Whilte kernel nouveau driver works, userspace nv_init programs hangs
during CONFIGURE_MEM.
I have produced a trace log (in attach) in the hope that it will help.
Card is installed as a primary (the only) card in a box and is
correctly booted by VBIOS.

Old video cards donation
Dear all,
I have a few old video cards that I want to get rid of. I've been suggested
to check whether any nouveau developer would be interested in getting one of
them for development / testing purposes.
Here's the list :
* AGP 4x video card Creative Labs 3D Blaster NVIDIA GeForce 2 GTS (NV15) DDR
32 MB VGA output
* AGP 2x video card NVIDIA Riva TNT2 (NV5) SDR 32 MB VGA/TV output

[PATCH 2/2 V2] drm/nv50: Improve PGRAPH interrupt handling.
This makes nouveau recognise and report more kinds of PGRAPH errors, as
well as prevent GPU lockups resulting from some of them.
Lots of guesswork was involved and some part of this is probably
incorrect. Some potential-lockuop situations are handled by just
resetting a whole PGRAPH subunit, which doesn't sound like a "proper"
solution, but seems to work just fine... for now.

For the OP:
Did you even try Google before asking the list? Google should always be
your first choice.

For Scott:
If you install the VLC app on the iPad you can probably skip the
transcoding and also having to add the video to iTunes first. You'll only
need to transcode the audio if it uses AC3, which is proprietary and the

[PATCH] drm/nouveau: Evict buffers in VRAM before freeing sgdma
Currently, we take down the sgdma engine without evicting all buffers
from VRAM.
The TTM device release will try to evict anything in VRAM to GART
memory, but this will fail since sgdma has already been taken down.
This causes an infinite loop in kernel mode on module unload.
It usually doesn't happen because there aren't any buffer on close.
However, if the GPU is locked up, this

[LLVMdev] Two ExecutionEngines from one Module
Hello everybody,
I'm pretty new to LLVM programming, so if this answer is pretty simple,
I apologize in advance. We are working with the released LLVM 1.9.
Say you have a class called CompiledProgram which is designed to contain
our Module and (potentially) our ExecutionEngine(s). In particular, I
would like to have an ExecutionEngine for running our program natively
and another for
