data.frame: adding a column that is based on ranges of values in another column
Dear List,
I've been looking tirelessly for a solution to this dilemma but without success. Perhaps someone has an idea that will guide me in the right direction.
Suppose I have the following data.frame:
DF = data.frame(X = c(114.5508, 114.6468, 114.6596, 114.6957, 114.6828, 114.8903, 114.9519, 114.8842,
114.8579, 114.8489), Y = c(47.14094, 46.98874, 46.91235, 46.88265, 46.80584, 46.67022,

number of items to replace is not a multiple of replacement length
Hello,
I'm a complete newbie to R so sorry if this is too basic..:-S
I have to modify some scripts someone else did to make it work with my data.
For some reason, one of the scripts which were supposed to work is not, and
I get the error message "number of items to replace is not a multiple of
replacement length".
The script is this one:

Clarifying noalias with metadata merging
Hi,
Looking at how noalias is defined:
https://llvm.org/docs/LangRef.html#noalias-and-alias-scope-metadata
"When evaluating an aliasing query, **if for some domain**, the set of scopes with that domain in one instruction’s alias.scope list is a subset of (or equal to) the set of scopes for that domain in another instruction’s noalias list, then the two memory accesses are assumed not to

Okular
Does anyone know what Magical configuration file determines whether okular
give measurements, in the properties of a .pdf, in millimeters, rather
than, say, inches or cm or furlongs?

Measurements will always be given in the least convenient units, such as
the speed of light in furlongs per fortnight

Your Valuable Inputs
Dear Friend;
We are using SSH as a main service on one of our Red Hat linux 9 based
server. The version is "$OpenBSD: sshd_config,v 1.73 2005/12/06 22:38:28 ".
You can see this is an older version but we are happy with it.
We are facing only one little issue with this which is
"After 'login: user id' inputting, server is taking almost 17 seconds before

R and Memory
I would suggest that you make a more thorough search of the R-Archives.
(http://finzi.psych.upenn.edu/search.html) If you do you will find this
discussion has been had several times and that the type of machine you
are running will have an impact upon what you can do. My feeling is that
you are going have to knuckle down with the documentation and understand
how R works and then when you have

EZStream and Cue Sheets
I could, but I have this big old Fedora system just waiting for me to
get LS working on it, so I think I need to concentrate on making that
happen. If it's hard, difficult, tedious, inconvenient, then that's
what it is. I want the cue sheet capability some way somehow, so I'm
just going to have to knuckle down and buckle down and do it. Right?

[llvm-pdbutil] : merge not working properly
Yes I am the person who wrote this feature (along with most other
PDB-related features).
I thought about some and I think it's a bit hard (if not impossible) to
merge PDBs in this way. Here's a short list of things I came up with
1) We need to merge the list of modules. This requires first detecting if
two modules are actually the same. For example, if I run llvm-pdbutil on a

Mixed effects para factores y no para covariables. Guia y dudas
Hola buenas tras meses investigando como hacer anovas para factores con
efectos fijos y efectos aleatorios, he encontrado una serie de funciones
que satisfacen mis pretensiones y creo correctas en cierta medida. Me
gustaría compartirlas con vosotros con doble intención, la primera es
compartirla para que si otro se encuentra en esta situación que tenga el
trabajo hecho y la segunda es que sean

Can you elaborate more on the outstanding issues with splitting eh pads?

[RFC] New Feature Proposal: De-Optimizing Cold Functions using PGO Info
FYI David is referring to PGSO (profile-guided size optimization) as it exists directly under that name, see: https://reviews.llvm.org/D67120. And yeah using PGSO is selecting optsize while this change is selecting optnone.

Negating two identical characters with regular expressions
Hello all,
Let's say I have a character string
"Race-ethnicity-----coding information"
I want to extract all text before the multiple dashes, including the word
"ethnicity."
I wrote a handy function to extract the first matched text:
grepcut <- function(pattern,x){
start.and.length <- regexpr(pattern,x)
substring(x,start.and.length,start.and.length

[llvm-pdbutil] : merge not working properly
The merge feature was implemented primarily for testing but was never
really productionized, so your guess about what the underlying problem is
sounds correct to me. We could probably hide the subcommand so users don’t
accidentally use it, or if someone wants to properly implement the missing
features, that would be even better

SendFAX - multi-page TIFF
Hi,
Does anyone had the problem of asterisk SendFax + spandsp sending only
the first page of a multi-page TIFF file?
Seams to be related to spandsp ECM config.
Any thoughts about it?
Thanks,
Gabriel

[PATCH] Compile issue with tools/libfsimage/iso9660
Compile issue with tools/libfsimage/iso9660
