[PATCH] am: Allow passing exclude and include args to apply
When porting patches from dash git to klibc git, where dash has a different directory structure those switches are handy: Exported with format-patch on dash side and used am as import for klibc side. [PATCH] nv50: mark scissors/viewports dirty on context switch
Commit 246ca4b001 ("nv50: implement multiple viewports/scissors, enable ARB_viewport_array") added dirty tracking to scissors/viewports. However it neglected to mark them all as dirty on a context switch. This fixes an apparent regression in webgl in chrome, but probably in any application that switches contexts. nv50/gallium: a few comments about latest patches
Just wanted to communicate some thoughts I had while reading the diffs, even thought I didn't have the time to look at everything in detail yet. - nv50: use relocs rather than re-uploading TIC all the time It's nice that we can write relocs to arbitrary buffers, and it's much less work than emitting the whole state object obviously. Just, you forgot the card won't care until you

Extreme frustration with GIMP
I am not a graphics person. Also can't afford to hire one. Trying to follow instructions at https://docs.gimp.org/en/gimp-tutorial-quickie-separate.html I use the "intelligent scissors" just like they say, spend quite a bit of effort doing so. Then click the foreground select tool - just like they say - and suddenly everything I did with the intelligent tool is undone. WTF?

mouse "stuck"
Sommetimes, for no apparent reason, my mouse cursor will become four arrows and suddenly I cannot do anything with my desktop. I can move the cursor and that is it. Clicking has no effect. cnrtl-alt-F6 gave me another virtual console from which I could post this. Other rebooting, how do I fix this? I'm running xfce on 6.2. -- Michael hennebry at web.cs.ndsu.NoDak.edu "On Monday,

CentOS 6.4 died on me again. Didn't leave any traces that I could find. The screen just suddenly went black. Couldn't switch to another virtual terminal. Pushing the reset button worked. Didn't have to power off this time. -- Michael hennebry at web.cs.ndsu.NoDak.edu "On Monday, I'm gonna have to tell my kindergarten class, whom I teach not to run with scissors, that my

file managementttttttttttt
Last week, I installed CentOS 6 yet again. I took the default desktop: gnome. Whenever I open a directory, I get a new window. That gets rather annoying, especially when I have to drill down several levels. Is there around that behaviour? If it's in edit->preferences, I didn't find it. Eventually I expect to change desktops. Until then, any ideas? -- Michael hennebry at

" Message from syslogd at localhost at Aug 27 08:57:53 ... kernel:Disabling IRQ #17" is the message I got on all my terminal windows at the time indicated. What is it complaining about? What should I do about it? I got some information from dmesg. It mentions IRQ 17, but the only error is from before the most recent hibernation. Here are some excerpts, in order from dmesg: SELinux:

help me understand migrations movie
I''m somewhat of a newbie - played with recent versions of rails a few mths ago, but have decided to start from scratch with 1.0. I want to build my new db as much as possible with migrations, so I watched DHH''s migrations movie from rubyonrails.org. A few things confuse me: 1. He generates the model ("post") before running rake db_schema_dump. Is that necessary or

[OT] how to specify dimensions a a Java Popup
How, if at all, does one specify the size of a Java Popup? setSize on the contents Component does not get the job done regardless of when applied. I keep getting the same small square, serveral pixels on an edge. Is this documented somewhere? I've been trying to use docs.oracle.com, but nothing I've found answers the question. I truly hate the poke it and see what it does method of finding
