Tincd fails to resolve domain names before it is started name resolution becomes available.
If tincd is started before name resolution comes up, it keeps failing for ever to resolve domain names in Address= host configuration variable after name resolution becomes possible. I think tincd should succeed in resolving domain names after name resolution becomes available.

question on R's makefile and configure system
I am trying to make a compiled slackware package for R and I am stuck on one point. Is there a variable I can set on the "make install" step to cause the R files to be copied into a subdirectory, instead of being copied into the prefix path specified in "./configure --prefix=/usr" anchored at root? With a lot of packages that use autoconf, the variable DESTDIR serves that

virsh responds slowly
Dear all, I have observed the virsh responds slowly with "virsh list" and used "strace virsh list" will find that it is waiting on the socket. I also use "netstat |grep libvirt" and see an opened socket /var/run/libvirt-sock-ro is always on and will not disappear. Is it caused by an abnormal termination of virsh API? Otherwise, if there is any possible issue? I have

Resurrecting the old "klibc-cvs" mailing list
I'm thinking I should make a commit robot (like the tip-bot for the Linux kernel) for klibc since development has been picking up again. I could revive the old klibc-cvs mailing list, or make a new one from scratch, or even direct all the commits to the main klibc mailing list. What would people's preference be, here? -hpa -- H. Compiling ocfs2-tools-1.6.3 on slackware64-13.1
Hello all, I'm having trouble compiling ocfs2-tools-1.6.3 on slackware64-13.1 These are my configure flags (the last 2 I added after googling this problem, but didn't help): ./configure \ --sbindir=/sbin \ --bin=/bin \ --libdir=/usr/lib${LIBDIRSUFFIX} \ --sysconfdir=/etc \ --datadir=/etc/ocfs2 \ --sharedstatedir=/var/ocfs2 \ --libexecdir=/usr/libexec \

R-help going to become "subscriber-only"
Dear R-help mailing list readers, After some discussion among R foundation members (and friends), we have agreed that ``the spammer mafia (*)'' has momentarily won a battle: After more than ten years of open and free mailing lists devoted to R (development, use, etc), the increasing volume of spam {quadrupling within one year, I'm told by an expert} and the slickness of the spam

Is H323 supported when installing Asterisk from Digium Yum repository?
Hi everyone, Installed asterisk from yum repository but I think H.323 is not supported as I tried commands like this and they don't work: - *h.323 debug*: Enable chan_h323 debug - *h.323 gk cycle*: Manually re-register with the Gatekeper - *h.323 hangup*: Manually try to hang up a call - *h.323 no debug*: Disable chan_h323 debug - *h.323 no trace*: Disable H.323 Stack Tracing

Asterisk SlackBuilds for Slackware Linux
Hello List, To whom it might concern: I have been working in some SlackBuilds (script for making Slackware Packages) for my personal use, but thought they might be useful for someone else here. Beside of the exceptional distributions used so far (CentOS, Debian, Ubuntu, etc.), you might want to test Asterisk on a Slackware Linux box, as it offers outstanding stability and flexibility as

+1 I was noticing the same thing and currently solved it using dnsmasq. Database left unlocked by Tcl bindings
I discovered, while trying to set up Tcl bindings for Notmuch (https://notmuchmail.org/), which uses Xapian, that flintlock was not being locked (I had lost updates). I then found that opening a Xapian database for writing directly via the Xapian Tcl bindings also silently fails to lock flintlock. I have taken a copy of flint_lock.cc to play with, and I find that it locks the file when called

Discussing `dash' in klibc mailing list
Peter, i ask you to permit discussion of `dash' in the klibc list. Pulled reasons are, that bugs and followups are distributed in bug tracking systems with arbitrary decisions. In the klibc there are also changes, that can be discussed widely, and opinions with possible solutions published. So far i have two problems. First is proposed change for test(1):

How to GSSAPI/Kerberos authenticate with Dovecot [formerly Where is krb5.keytab or equivalent?]
After a nearly 2-year struggle to get Dovecot to do either NTLM or GSSAPI authentication with Samba4 AD/DC, I believe I've finally got it! Infinite thanks to Achim Gottinger for his patience in working this through with me. Although my purpose was for Dovecot to authenticate mail clients, the configuration settings needed were on the Samba side. I hope these instructions can eventually make

Non-default build options
Hi! I am a current maintainer of the R slackbuild script (for Slackware GNU/Linux distribution). I received requests from users to build R with --enable-R-shlib and --enable-BLAS-shlib, so now I am trying to decide whether to do so by default. Is there a downside to building R with either option? -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed... Name: signature.asc

__builtin_clz in klibc
Hi, I just got a bug report that klibc doesn't compile on s390: KLIBCCC usr/klibc/libgcc/__clzsi2.o KLIBCCC usr/klibc/libgcc/__clzdi2.o usr/klibc/libgcc/__clzdi2.c: In function `__clzdi2': usr/klibc/libgcc/__clzdi2.c:24: warning: implicit declaration of function `__builtin_clz' This looks like a common problem, because __builtin_clz is available since gcc 3.4, while the kernel
