klibc and udev
In case people here don't follow the udev mailing list, udev seems to be quasi-dropping klibc support. Well, see the forwarded message below. As I don't agree with the "omg udev is complex! use glibc!" rationale, I want klibc and udev to remain working with each other.... Assuming some minor breakage in the near future, is klibc open to accepting patches for "basic C

nfsmount inside kinit
Hey all, bug report time. I started tracking this down, but am at a bit of a loss for time, so I figured I'd report over this list to see if anyone else has the time to fix this or at least find the error. When calling nfsmount on it's own, say "nfsmount 1.2.3.4:/home/nfs /root" it works just fine, however, when calling nfsmount_main from within kinit (via nfsroot=), things get

SV: handling spam from gmail.
I know it is not dovecot who should fix this. But anyone using dovecot is using an MTA, and receiving spam ;) I know how to look at email headers. Spf and dkim is not solving anything here. -----Original Message----- From: Sebastian Nielsen [mailto:sebastian at sebbe.eu] Sent: donderdag 11 juni 2020 10:23 To: Marc Roos; 'dovecot'; 'users' Subject: SV: handling spam from

Banned web site / banned topic ?
Why are you replacing known spammers with these "banned" strings ? This forbids anti-spam filters & programs to do their jobs properly.

Using IMAP keywords instead of mailboxes for spam with dovecot-antispam
Hi, Some email clients, like Evolution, use IMAP keywords to flag spam instead of moving mail to dedicated spam mailbox. This is very useful, as false positives can be easily "moved" to original mailbox simply by removing $Junk keyword. I couldn't find a way how to integrate antispam software, like dspam, with dovecot, so that antispam automatically learns ham/spam. I have found

New antispam measures on the wiki
It is by now clear that a handful of persistent spammers have started using semiautomated attacks targeted specifically at our wiki ... one careless spammer even uploaded some of his scripts! As a result, I have switched the wiki to a mode where editors need to be explicitly authorized, manually, before they can edit. As a result, people will need to first create an account, and then get a

list spam related question
In the thread "[Wine] New to Wine...and already in trouble..." there was a spam post by kizi that says it was "Sent from the Wine - Users mailing list archive at Nabble.com". Can people really send things to our list/forum from other sites/forums? It also seems odd that the reply directs a person to catch up on the thread by linking to Nabble instead of the Wine forum. It

Sieve: Saving "pristine" messages for backups and spam training
Hello, I'm trying to work out a way to have my Sieve filter save a "pristine" version of email messages as a backup, primarily to use for training the spam filter. I would like is to have every message saved into a single, site-wide directory (in the global sieve) before being processed additionally and delivered. The messages in that directory will be used to train the spam

Reviewing end-user ham/spam submissions before feeding them to sa-learn via Dovecot Antispam plug-in
Currently, I'm using the Dovecot Antispam plug-in with great success. Everything works as expected. However, I would like to change the plug-in's behavior such that it simply sends a copy of a message that is moved from Inbox -> Junk (or Junk -> Inbox) to an administrator, instead of calling sa-learn (I'm using SpamAssassin) automatically. Basically, I would like to be able to
