would like to configure help.start() point to a http:// style url rather than ~/.R/doc etc (fwd)
In our situation we sometimes run netscape from a another platform via ssh and so the machine netscape is running on may not contain any R software, or more precisely the user home account on the machine running netscape is different from the account they initiated R and so having netscape look into there home directory will NOT work. It would desirable to have easy way to specificy a

lattice regression coefficients
Dear list I am sorry to have to ask this question, but I have not been able to find a solution to what seems a simple problem. I have created a lattice plot of a number of regression points and lines using a function containing panel.xyplot and panel.lmline. The result is what is expected , but I cannot figure out how to obtain the coefficients of each of the regression lines. Any help

plotting a timeline
I was trying to recreate this kind of timeline plot: http://www.vertex42.com/ExcelArticles/create-a-timeline.html As you can see in their excel example, the events are nicely placed out on both sides of the timeline axis. AFAIK there is no function to do this nicely in R-project. Furthermore, graphics and lattice packages are unable to draw the x-axis in the middle of the plot. (datapoints

Timeline for rsync 3.1 release?
Greetings, I submitted a patch for a new feature for rsync through bugzilla last December. Wayne said he was leaning toward including the new feature I proposed in rsync 3.1. Nearly ten months later, there is still no rsync 3.1. :-) Is there any information available about the timeline of upcoming releases? Thanks, Jonathan Kamens -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment

[RFC] Removing autoconf from trunk
Now that 3.8 is imminently branching with the newly deprecated autoconf I think it is time to propose a process and timeline for removing autoconf support from trunk. At this point I believe there should be no users of autoconf for Clang and LLVM that are not supported by CMake, so I would like to propose dropping autoconf support from the cfe and llvm repositories on January 26th (two weeks from

ERRDOS - 50 when restoring a tar file
A collegue of mine has problems restoring files that are created with smbtar. I also tried it (using smbclient -T) and encountered the same problem. The tar file can be restored on unix without problem, but restoring them on a PC results in the following error messages: smbclient '\\jaap\temp' -Tx backup.tar Added interface ip=192.93.141.1 bcast=192.93.141.255 nmask=255.255.255.0 Server

[RFC] Removing autoconf from trunk
The purpose of this thread was to propose removing configure on January 26th. There have been no objections, so I’m assuming that timeline is acceptable. -Chris > On Jan 15, 2016, at 5:54 AM, Krzysztof Parzyszek via llvm-dev <llvm-dev at lists.llvm.org> wrote: > > On 1/15/2016 5:05 AM, Daniel Sanders via llvm-dev wrote: >>> One issue that I believe has not yet been

[LLVMdev] RFC: Timeline for deprecating the autoconf build system?
Hello, thank you for the thoughts. > Have you seen the docs for CMake3.0 [1] (see cmake-buildsystem > especially)? They certainly aren't perfect but they are considerably > better than what was there before. Okay, the documentation has come a long way since 3.0 although it still needs a bit of polish. > I wouldn't say that much "important functionality is plain

Hello list, I have performed a fresh install (fully updated) of squeeze amd64 and installed the xen-linux-system-2.6.32-5-xen-amd64 package with all its dependencies. When I restart and tried to boot the linux-image-2.6.32-5-xen-amd64 (pvops style) kernel on bare-metal my laptop boots fine. When I use the hyper-visor on the system with the same linux-image-2.6.32-5-xen-amd64 kernel, it hangs

tcltk image reading problem (on a mac?): [tcl] encountered an unsupported criticial chunk type "eXIf"
Hello everyone I am not sure when this appeared (sometime post R 3.5.0 and after I switched to Mac OS Catalina). I do not think it happens on all platforms (e.g. seems to work on windows). But it seems that tkimage.create() no longer works on a Mac for all png files. (It does work for *some* old png files I have on disk but I have not been able to determine what is different about the

Fwd: Adding a timeline style graphic using r-highcharter
Adding a timeline style graphic using r-highcharter I have hydro-graphs that I am creating using *highcharter* library in R. I want to add another variable(or adjust value with any existing variable) to this graph as a timeline (as shown in the image). The value table for this variable is a time series data frame as well but, the values are as "0" and "1" where "0"
