poser 2012 ... play on linux / wine 1.3.37 ??? errors
hi new here...tryn to get poser 2012 runnin...installs good...gui...loads...mouse disappears...app needs to terminate....here is the log
prolly have alot of issues...or maybe not...n im not sure were to begin...any help out there...thanx for the views n time... i know ive spent alot of it doin this stuff
also i used the 1.4rc wine ver...but also used the 1.3.37 ver with the same results

winetricks vcrun200* does not install the overrides properly
In current git, when I attempt to run winetricks vcrun2005 or vcrun2008, the installation completes in console, but the overrides do not get installed in windows/system32. Anybody else has this problem?

Problem installing SIMIO simulator

I'm trying to install the Simio software on Wine, but I'm having a problem.
What I do:

A window appears, and it says that some download is performed.
A window appears stating: "Installing Microsoft Installer 4.5"

Mass Effect fails to install
Hi!
I have tried to install Mass Effect several times on my Thinkpad L520 Notebook with Linux Mint 12 and wine 1.3.35 from the ubuntu-wine ppa. I have two discs, the first DVD installs the game, the second CD patches it to version 1.01a, with some Czech and Hungarian extensions. I guess the first DVD is for version 1.00, but I could't find out.

FSX install... Failure
Hey guys I desperately want to install FSX, please don't post anything referring me to another sim, I already have it on another comp and I want to link them, I decided to use linux(Ubuntu 10.1) on this machine(programming reasons) so using wine that I installed three days ago, should have Wine triks, I attempted to install FSX but I got err. 1603.
Help please?

Error when trying to run DivX player
I successfully installed DivX player 6.6 using wine. But when I try to open the player, I get the following errors.

New to Wine...and already in trouble...
Hi
I've installed Wine on my openSUSE 11.3 x64 box. I'm trying to install Sage Instant accounts but keep getting the Error 1628 message.
I've been searching most of the evening and trying the various fixes (run from command line, rename the InstallerShield folder etc) but to no avail.
Do I just need to accept that Sage Instant won't work and go back to the (slow) VirtualBox?

After dx9 installation, console writing some....
After dx installation (sh winetricks - gui - choose dx9) console still typing some text or what. It seems like want to connect somewher but i dont know why or if i have end it or wait.

Supreme Commander Install Crash
I'm currently running Ubuntu 10.04 and Wine 1.3.0
I've followed the How To guides and tried running the install from the terminal window. I get just past installing DirectX then the install window claims that it's installing BsSndRpt.exe concurrently the feature transfer error window pops up.
I really don't know how to fix the problem. I've google searched the error number as

I am attempting to use wine to run a windows application called
VideoReDo. I'm getting an error when I try to install the program,
however, and I don't know how to proceed. The error is:

Winetricks / DX9
Hi
I'm not sure if this is the right forum to ask a question about Winetricks, but I'm going to try anyway since I just can't seem to find a place dedicated to it.
./winetricks directx finishes, but gives a lot of strange feedback which I think isn't supposed to be there. I don't have any games around right now, so I can't see if the thing is working.

Autocad 2011 instalation is breaking up
Hi ppl
I need hel installing autocad 2011. I'm using wine 1.2.2 (ubuntu 10.10)
I've copyed whole autocad DVD onto my HDD and started a setup with wine. Setup is installing fine (directx installation and everything) huntil it comes to part where it is installing autocad files - then the installation just stops and starts to undo itself like I've pressed cancel to install...

problem with DivX9 and winetricks
HI
Trying to install Divx9 using winetricks. Using Ubuntu 8.10 and have cabextract installed, and my graphics card has it's driver installed (NVIDIA GEforce FX 5200).
Installation seems to go ok but does not re-start machine and there appear to be error messages in the terminal window, despite the fact that it says DivX is isntalled.
Testing results by trying to play Age of Empires II -

World Basketball Manager. Any possible way to run?
I'm in struggle to let the game run. The best result i've got is "run-time error 76" which led me to nothing.
Tried various ways to run the game. winetricks, playonlinux. No result.
I'm using Ubuntu x64. Wine - 1.36. Nvidia 8600.
