wine mismatch
I had installed a Redhat 7.2 wine rpm (20010822-1) and decided to update it
to a more recent rpm. Well I got a bunch of errors trying to run a simple
executable so I uninstalled the latest rpm and reinstall the Redhat 7.2
wine rpm (20010822-1). Now I get this message. I've removed wine and
wine-devel rpms and I've search the drive for any wineserver or wine. Also

HELP - 'version mismatch' error?
On a linux RedHat-9 PC, I had wine set up and running fine
(the version that came with the RH distro and perhaps updated
via the RH update service when it used to be available).
For example, I sucessfully ran Xnews on my linux box under wine.
However, certain other windows apps did not work so i thought perhaps
I would update to the latest cvs version of wine (the RH-9.0 version
being well behind

net use z: \\sambapdc\share1 <file:///\\sambapdc\share1>
However I still get prompted for a user name and password. I don't seem
to have a way to force the "net" command to connect anonymously.
If I can force an anonymous connection from Windows, then I should be OK.
(Again, this share does not contain information that needs much protection.)
Thanks

Graphics API version mismatch with RSVGTipsDevice
Dear Colleagues
I have been struggling with a problem and could not find a similar
previous posting in any of my searches, so I decided to write to the
list. I am trying to produce svg files from plots using RSVGTipsDevice
in R 2.12.0 in Ubuntu 10.04, but I am getting the following error
message:

protocol version mismatch
Hi,
I am pretty new to rsync so this question might have a very trivial
answer. Sorry for that then. (using google didn't work though)
I want to synchronise the files from my laptop to my machine at work and
back from time to time. Both machines have linux (the laptop has fedora
core 2 with a 2.6.6 kernel and the remote machine redhat 9 with a
2.6.3 kernel)
On the laptop I use rsync

Version Mismatch
hi list
I upgraded to 1.1.3, and have my logs turned off for some time, but
turned it back on when someone complained about moving emails. I saw
this in the logs. Seems strange. Using gentoo on AMD 64 bit. All is
working fine, but is this a cause for alarm.

wine client error:0: version mismatch 432/431
Can someone tell me why, despite using a completely clean tree, I keep getting this on a Wine64 build?
Code:
wine client error:0: version mismatch 432/431.
Your wine binary was not upgraded correctly,
or you have an older one somewhere in your PATH.
Or maybe the wrong wineserver is still running?
It's getting on my bloody nerves!
TIA

-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----

After running that, testfile should be 0 bytes.

Samba compiled version to rpm package
Hi !
I'm runing a linux redhat 7.2 box with samba 2.2.4.
I've downloaded the samba source in order to install it with the
needed compilation options (--with-smbwrapper --with-automount
--with-smbmount --with-pam ...).
Samba is now up and running but I would like to build an rpm with this
compiled version.
Any idea of how to transform this samba compiled version to a rpm
package ?

security = domain and Mac OS X
I've set up Samba on Mac OS X to do pass through authentication to
the nt domain in AD several times now. No big deal, it usually just
works.
Now, however, it doesn't appear to be working. Note the relevant part
of the transaction below (loglevel 4).
Steps to replicate:
a) Add pre-Win2K account with AD Users and computers
b) sudo smbpasswd -j EXAMPLE -r WINSERVER -U

Improper (?) OpenSSL version mismatch(was RE: OpenSSH_2.5.1p1 - RH 6.2)
Well, I've finally gotten around to compiling
and testing OpenSSH 2.5.2p1, in order to update
the contrib/solaris packaging scripts.
Somehow on my test system, I'm getting errors
that indicate that I've still got some old copy
of OpenSSL being found somewhere...but I can't
for the life of me tell where. The compile went
fine (it found the OpenSSL 0.9.5a libraries that

CIFS in fstab
Hi, folks,
I have a difficulty using a cifs connection...
O/S: Mandrake 10.0, updated kernel, at 2.6.8.1-12mdk, running Samba 3.0.7
packages.
I'm trying to mount, via CIFS a share on a Windows 2003 server. I have no
control over the use of smb signing, so I need to use cifs, not smbfs (the
organisation as a whole has over 25000 users, using numerous servers, almost
