Multicolumn Listbox selectcommand trouble
Hey folks,
This is my first message to the mailing list so please let me know if I
mess something up.
I'm trying to use the selectcommand for the mclistbox but I'm not very
adept at using functions. Ideally I'd like to change the editor text when
a different list item is selected but any help using the selectcommand
would be appreciated and I think I could get the rest working.

Call by reference or suggest workaround
I have written code to compute multi-indices in R [1] and due to the
recursive nature of the computation I need to pass around the *same*
matrix object (where each row corresponds to one multi-index). As pass
by reference wasn't the default behavior I declared a global matrix
(mat) and used the <<- operator to write to the global matrix. So the
usage would be to call genMultiIndices(3,2)

Samba vs Windows SAK
Has anyone seen this:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/Embedded/sak/evaluation/compare/advantage.asp
And has anyone from the Samba team posted a response? It seems like some of
the information presented there is contrary to what I know about Samba.

retrieving large columns using RODBC
Hi,
I have a large table in Postgresql (result of an MCMC simulation, with 1
million rows) and I would like to retrive colums (correspond to variables)
using RODBC. I have a column called "index" which is used to order rows.
Unfortunately, sqlQuery can't return all the values from a column at once
(RODBC complains about lack of memory). So I am using the following code:

Test: patch to add adva, ced d3d settings in winecfg
Hello everybody...
My patch to add advanced d3d settings in winecfg is almost ready.
In fact, i only have to figure out how to detect video memory size to
display it when no key is set to force it or to reset. Stefan D told
me to use DirectDraw, but i wouldn't find.
So that is the last thing (except some better naming...) to do for this patch.
Everything works well and i would like some

As an example, I found and downloaded a spec sheet several years back

Openshot 2.x (beta) on C7??
I'm interested in trying out the new OpenShot beta (2.06) on CentOS 7.
Openshot requires Python3.
so I look at available packages where I find a bunchof python3 packages
as well as python34 packages.
I'm assuming that python34 is version 3.4 of python, while python3 is some
other 3.x version.
Can anyone here explain to me what are the differences, any compatibility
across these

using a Gigaset SX440isdn on a Diva 4BRI ?
Hello,
I just received a couple SX440isdn phones and was wondering if they can
be plugged into a Diva 4BRI port in NT mode and work with
asterisk+chan_capi?
I know they probably work fine with mutliHFC cards with either bristuff
of chan_misdn but since I have some spare Divas, I was curious about
their potential as phone ports.
The Diva's 3 and 4 ports are already set to NT mode at boot

Grouping columns
*Hi @ all,
I have a question concerning the possibilty of grouping the columns of a
matrix.
R groups the columns alphabetically.
What can I do to group the columns in my specifications?
The script is the following:*

I am currently trying to read in a binary file using this helpful manual:

I also have the detailed format description from the developer. But somehow
the reading of the file does still not work properly. The first entry in the
file is the following, according to the manufacturer:

define subset argument for function lm as variable?
Hi
I want to do a series of linear models, and would like to define the input arguments for lm() as
variables. I managed easily to define the formula arguments in a variable, but I also would like to
have the "subset" in a variable. My reasoning is, that I have the subset in the results object.
So I wiould like to add a line like:
subs <- dead==FALSE & recTreat==FALSE
