RCMD SHLIB problem in 64 bits
I am trying to build a dll writen in C to be called by R. Interestingly, when I set the global environment variable PATH to be "c:\Rtools\bin;C:\Rtools\gcc-4.6.3;C:\Program Files\R\R-3.1.1\bin\*i386*;" and I typed "RCMD SHLIB Permutation.c" in Cygwin, the dll was compiled and I can sucessfully call functions after I had loaded it into 32 bits R via .Call. However, now I want

LDFLAGS defined in R_MAKEVARS_USER file is ignored for R CMD SHLIB on Windows
Example input and output to reproduce this can be found at https://gist.github.com/jimhester/b7f05f50794c88e44b17. I tested this attempting to compile the [digest]( http://cran.r-project.org/web/packages/digest/index.html) package, `run.sh` and `run.bat` were both run in the package source directory on Ubuntu 14.01 and Windows 7 respectively. In particular while the `CFLAGS` values were properly

R Compilation gets stuck on Windows 64
Hi Avraham, What a coincidence, I have been following this post of yours: https://www.avrahamadler.com/2013/10/24/an-openblas-based-rblas-for-windows-64-step-by-step/ Looks like this post is slightly older than what you have shared previously. It is strange that you did not get the attachments. I am pasting the contents of the MkRules.local here:

Setting up a windows system for rcpp
I am running into a wall getting my system to work with rcpp and inline. Following Dirk's advice on stackoverflow, I hope someone is able to help me. My steps were to install MinGW 32 bit first, then installing Rtools, I disabled MinGW's entry in the PATH. I am trying to get the following code to work: library(Rcpp) library(inline) body <- ' NumericVector xx(x); return wrap(

Rcmd SHLIB error
I am getting this error message when I try to run Rcmd SHLIB myprog.c. There appears to be a missing / between etc and i386 in the path. I am on Windows Vista and am using R version 2.12.1 Patched (2010-12-16 r53864) and just downloaded Rtools 2.12 today. Is this a bug in R? How can I resolve this? Multiple -g flags in R CMD SHLIB
Does anybody know why two "-g" flags appear in the call to gcc in R CMD SHLIB Example: gcc -std=gnu99 -I/usr/share/R/include -DNDEBUG -fpic *-g* -O2 -fstack-protector --param=ssp-buffer-size=4 -Wformat -Werror=format-security -D_FORTIFY_SOURCE=2 *-g* -c c_file1.c -o c_object1.o Surely it need only be listed once? I originally posted on this topic on a different thread: https://stat.ethz.ch/pipermail/r-devel/2016-August/072938.html These sources suggested that a safe practice might be to put double quotes around symbol names in EXPORTS in case the symbol name is the same as a linker keyword: - https://sourceware.org/binutils/docs/ld/Symbols.html#Symbols -

How to specify compiler options when using R CMD SHLIB
