tricky (for me) merging of data
Dear List, I am having trouble with a tricky merging task. I have one data sheet that has dates (continuous) that radio collared individuals were monitored via telemetry. I have a different sheet containing data from instances where individuals were recaptured and associated body condition data was recorded (sheet 2). I would like to merge the two sheets by individual and date (I can do this

metadata idea for coders
I haven't looked at the code so forgive me if this is already what it's doing.. Considering the problems with the current metadata implementation.. couldn't it be changed to just cache the data that comes from the source in order to update it if it changes, and then just send it down to the listening clients then in the form of an ID3V2 tag when they first connect, and then only

[LLVMdev] NEWBIE: deleting Instructions
Hello, i just tried to write some passes and in one of them i want to delete a call Instruction. I can identify the specific Instruction without a problem, but when i put the delete operation in the code i always get a error message while running opt. I already tried to rename my pass, but without any change. Another question i have is: why do i always get the "opt: CommandLine Error:"

How to debug passes
Hi, Could you please confirm the following steps for debugging a pass? 1. copy your pass into llvm/lib/Transforms/Hello/Hello.cpp 2. name you pass Hello 3. insert debug messages like:     errs() << "Visiting function " << F.getName(); 4. get LLVM bitcode:    clang -O3 -emit-llvm hello.c -c -o hello.bc5. disassemble the bitcode:     llvm-dis hello.bc 6. run the pass on

100% random writes coming out as 50/50 reads/writes
I''m running on s10s_u4wos_12b and doing the following test. Create a pool, striped across 4 physical disks from a storage array. Write a 100GB file to the filesystem (dd from /dev/zero out to the file). Run I/O against that file, doing 100% random writes with an 8K block size. zpool iostat shows the following... capacity operations bandwidth pool used

[LLVMdev] DataStructure Analysis ds-aa can not stop when passing mysqld
Quoting Chris Lattner <clattner at apple.com>: Dear staff, I am using the ds-aa to pass mysqld. I compile mysqld 4.0.12 statically (compile all libraries statically to the executable) and got the bc file, named it as mysqld.bc3. I use the command to pass: opt -load <poolalloc install dir>/lib/libLLVMDataStructure.so -ds-aa mysqld.bc3 -print-alias-sets -disable-output
