Problem with rsync recent file logic ?
Hello, I have 2 servers I'm synchronizing using rsync, I have a situation where I : 1. rsync from rnd-dev2 to rnd-dev1 2. change the rsynched file on rnd-dev1 3. rsync from rnd-dev2 to rnd-dev1 again 4. File gets overridden on rnd-dev1 over though it has newer change time then file on rnd-dev2. here is the bug(?) reproduction: [root@rnd-dev1 test_rsync]# rsync --version rsync version

configuration & error help
Hi everybody, just a new face showing up looking for a little help configuring IceCast. Just installed the software with a few other programs in an attempt to start off my own internet radio station. Using SimpleCast to take the line-in and stream it to IceCast, which in-turn does the obvious and streams it to the internet. I'm looking at just creating a station of just 5 max users (for

Start Rsync Error
Hi, I have installed rsync-2.4.6 version on Linux Redhat 6.2 (Kernel-2.2.14-5.0), after installed I tried to test the rsh and run "rsh remotehost /bin/true > out .dat". But it failed the error message was "Permission denied". I checked the permission all was okay, I forgot the rsh/csh methods and replaced by RSYNC_PROXY. Finally, it failed again. I would like to know that

I've used SHOUTcast before, but I'm new to IceCast... and it's been a bit since I did use SHOUTcast. I need to know what the various configuration fields in Icecast2 Win32 do. problems using --ignore-existing and filter rules
Greetings everyone, I have a problem which I believe is a collision between the --ignore-existing option and filter rules. It appears to me that regardless of argument order, when I specify the two on a command line, even if a non-existing directory appears in the filter list as a protect rule. But when I change protect rules to exclude rules, the excluded files/directories appear not to be

vobris icecast 2
hi, I am trying to get Vorbis streaming from live input to a icecast2 (win32) server. I am doing this on my local 192.168.22.x network. I can get oddcastDSP encoder to stream to the icecast server. It makes a source connection and I can see this is the Icecast2 Win32 Server Stats window. I can also see the KB sent in the oddcastDSP window. However I have the following problems: 1. I cant make a

Listener count in stream title
Hi all, I just wrote this script (attached) which I thought others might find useful -- it updates the song title of every mountpoint with the current number of listeners for that mount. It can be seen in action on http://radio.ethereal.net:8000/stale, where it runs every minute out of cron. The script should be self-explanatory, but feel free to write me privately with any questions or

variables inside a template for my hp ilo device
I am writing a hp ilo module to automatically assign a static ip that is derived from the IP of the system which is fed in via facter. I basically just need to change the network the ilo is connected to. The ruby code works great inside the irb console. However, puppet doesn''t seem to be able to use the variable I have derived from the ipaddress. This is my first template so I am not

Icecast2 Configuration
I think I figured everything out on my own, BUT it gives me this error each time I attempt to play a stream (using WinAmp's oddcast plugin). I have made sure multiple times that the passwords in the Icecast config file & oddcast config box are both the same! Managing users and home dirs
For those of you using virtual users, and SQL, how are you managing your users and their home dirs ? That is, what process do you use for adding/deleting users, creating their home dirs etc ? I suppose it's easy enough to do manually, inserting rows in the database, creating dirs, chown/chmod yada yada, but there must be a better way to do it ... If you're doing dovecot replication then it

Icecast2 Configuration
If you are getting "login with invalid or missing password" it means one of a few things : * you have not selected Icecast2 as the server type in the DSP config * you are not using the most current versions of both icecast2 and oddcast (http://www.oddsock.org/icecast2 for that) * you are using the most current oddcast, but have <icylogin>1</icylogin> in your icecast2

Look at http://www.xiph.org/cvs.html for further information and read the file HACKING in the icecast module about further helper lib you need to download and how to build the thing. There will be an alpha release of

Prompt for a PIN number to make long distance call?
I need to authenticate users to make long distance calls. Basically, when the user dials a long distance dialplan pattern, I want to prompt for his pin and look it up against a table of pins:usernames in a file. If it exists, I'll use the username in the cdr accountcode and permit the call. Authenticate() looked very promising nut I couldn't get the ma options to work. Any help is
