Setting up a lustre zfs dual mgs/mdt over tcp - help requested
Hi all, Here is the situation: I have 2 nodes MDS1 , MDS2 (10.0.0.22 , 10.0.0.23) I wish to use as failover MGS, active/active MDT with zfs. I have a jbod shelf with 12 disks, seen by both nodes as das (the shelf has 2 sas ports, connected to a sas hba on each node), and I am using lustre 2.4 on centos 6.4 x64 I have created 3 zfs pools: 1. mgs: # zpool

lnet infiniband config
Hi all, I''m getting my feet wet in the infiniband lake and of course I run into some problems. It would seem I got the compilation part of sles11 kernel 2.6.27 + Lustre 1.8.3 + ofed 1.4.2 right, because it allows me to see and use the infiniband fabric, and because ko2iblnd loads without any complaints. In /etc/modprobe.d/lustre (this is a Debian system, hence this subdir of

Multihomed question: want Lustre over IB andEthernet
Chris, Perhaps you need to perform some write_conf like command. I''m not sure if this is needed in 1.6 or not. FW: faking IB multi-rail with multihomed clients
Guys, For those of you not party to the original email exchange, this is about how we can aggregate bandwidth across both rails of a dual-rail IB cluster using current lustre/LNET (i.e. before we have implemented transparant LNET support for failover and bandwidth aggregation across multiple networks). The following 2 points are fundamental - everything below is a direct consequence... 1. LNET

Re: [openib-general] problems with lustre o2ib module & ofed
It seems that lustre puts its modules in /lib/modules/2.6.16.21-0.8-default despite the fact that my kernel is 2.6.16.21-0.8-smp ! uname -a Linux n32 2.6.16.21-0.8-smp #4 SMP Sun Sep 24 08:47:30 BST 2006 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux make[3]: Nothing to be done for `install-exec-am''. /bin/sh ../../mkinstalldirs /lib/modules/2.6.16.21-0.8-default/kernel/fs/lustre /usr/bin/install -c -m 644

permutest
I'm working with capscale and permutest for the first time, and having trouble getting statistical analyses for more than one constraining variable. I've read the documentation, but setting first=FALSE or using by="axis" doesn't seem to be helping. capscale seems to be fine, I receive output for more than one constrained axis. What am I doing wrong?

3 dimensional MDS plots
Hi, I am trying to create 3 mds plots: one with axis 1 vs axis 2, one with axis 2 vs axis 3, and one with axis 1 vs axis 3. When inputting my code, I only end up with one diagram and when inputting mdsg.mds$dims, the program returns 2 for 2 dimensions. How can I create the other two plots? Any help would be greatly appreciated, Calla Carbone The table I use is number of each taxa on each

tunefs.lustre --print fails on mounted mdt/ost with mmp
Just checking to be sure this isn''t a known bug or problem. I couldn''t find a bz for this, but it would appear that tunefs.lustre --print fails on a lustre mdt or ost device if mounted with mmp. Is this expected behavior? TIA mds1-gps:~ # tunefs.lustre --print /dev/mapper/mdt1 checking for existing Lustre data: not found tunefs.lustre FATAL: Device /dev/mapper/mdt1 has not

lustre 1.8.3 upgrade observations
Hello, 1) when compiling the lustre modules for the server the ./configure script behaves a bit odd. The --enable-server option is silently ignored when the kernel is not 100% patched. Unfortunatly the build works for the server, but during the mount the error message claims about a missing "lustre" module which is loaded and running. What is really missing are the ldiskfs et al

pam_mount in 'newer samba'...
Sorry for a rather 'unifornative' subject, but i've little o no clue on this. I'm using at work 'pam_mount' with a rather standard configuration to mount via CIFS/SMB user's home directory, from a samba AD member server. This configuration is a bit 'old' (mint sonya, AKA Ubuntu 16.04 as a client, so samba 4.3; debian and samba 4.8 as a server), but work

pam_mount in 'newer samba'...
Hai Marco, Is the UPN set for this server. CIFS/hostnam.fqdn ? Does its A and PTR match with the "real" hostname? But i see : smb2_get_dfs_refer rc Not commenting on this expect... upgrade the servers.. ;-) Try : apt install keyutils this might be missing and is needed for CIFS kerberos mounts mount -t cifs -o user=USER,domain=DOMAIN,cruid=USER,sec=krb5,vers=3.0
