3.2.2 : ld: fatal: relocations remain against allocatable but non-writable sections
Not too sure what this is about but it is repeatable :
On Solaris 8 ( either Sparc or x86 ) after the config stage I get :
Text relocation remains referenced against symbol offset in file
<unknown> 0x0 lib/ldb/common/ldb_modules.o
ld: fatal: relocations remain against allocatable but non-writable sections
any thoughts ?
The configuration is fine .. same as with samba 3.0.31 actually and

IRC question: Will Perl [..] remain a binding but not a requirement?
04:33 < darius93> will perl ever be deprecated in libguestfs to where
it can still remain a binding but not a requirement
for the tools?
We use Perl 5 in a few places:
(1) There is a Perl binding to the API:
http://libguestfs.org/guestfs-perl.3.html
(2) It is used in places in the build system. Some examples:
- many tests in the test suite are

yes, because closing the code is the same as burning $34 Billion.

Roaming Profile files remain locked after logout/shutdown
Our floater secretaries roam around the office constantly. Recently they've
complained that they only get a temporary profile and a warning that their
romaing profile is unavailable when they move from one station to another
within a few minutes.
Looking into this I found that files in their profile remain locked after
they had logged out and even shut down the workstation they were on. I

Will PrintWarnings remain non static?
Hi,
The C function PrintWarnings is currently not in the C API, but it is
declared non static in the svn trunk as of revision 53110 . As this is
the only function that creates the last.warning object used by the R
function warnings(), I think it would be useful for programs that
embed R to be able to call it.
So, will it remain non static, that is callable although it's not
declared in the

Might hanging bugs remain in rsync 3.0.0?
Wayne,
I am concerned that, when you decide to release rsync 3.0.0, one or
more hanging bugs may remain in the incremental recursion code.
My rationale is as follows. At least four such bugs have been found
so far, and I see no evidence that those are all there are.
Furthermore, from April 27 to July 10, about 2.5 months passed without
any hanging bugs being found; then, on July 11, Warren

Bug#270019: 270018, 270019 should remain open
I object to the closing of these bugs on all of the following grounds:
1. They are wishlist items, and the wish has not been resolved, simply
dismissed.
2. They are closed on the grounds that the messages are startup
messages. Some are, but some are not.
3. The suggestion that startup messages should not be filtered out
seems unwarranted.
4. I responded to earlier requests for exact log lines,

Rsync processes remain in sleep mode / don't terminate after sync hing
Hello,
We're synching several directories between two windows server 2003 machines.
Rsync version is 2.5.7
The command is running via a batch script, which looks like:
....
D:\cygwin\bin\rsync.exe -rva --progress --delete --force --stats --exclude-from=d:\batch\rsync\excludes\excludes.txt /cygdrive/n/zphome/intranet.cp.siemens.de/sub1 server::wwwroot1/ >>

LLVM buildmaster is back to work now but two builders remain OFF
Hello everyone,
LLVM buildmaster is back to work.
Two slaves remain off for now as they produce a lot of warnings and their
log files are way too big.
The next builds have full logs available. Hope this helps to fix this issue:

agent with queues remain unavailable during transferred call
Hi,
I'm seeing something I'd like suggestions on:
I have a queue with agents that log in using agentcallbacklogin. The
extension that is logged in with is a Local channel. Now, if a call
comes in to the queue and is handled by an agent (in our case using
Cisco 7960 SIP phones) and transferred (attended) to another extension,
the agent remains unavailable during the remains of the call.

Would RHEL, CentOS, and Fedora Remain Open Source/Free Software After IBM Buys Red Hat for $34 Billion?
If I heard/remember correctly, AT&T's UNIX was proprietary but they released it to academic institutions under NDA and were lax in enforcement. We all know what happened. In this case it's obviously open source, we know what will happen if someone tries something. My main concern is future development, will it remain open source. My real fear is that a certain un-named company is

created data doesn't remain when split...
I've been trying to figure out why the following is happening....
I've got some data I'll load in from a file...
rm(list=ls(all=TRUE))
trees <- read.table( "c:/cruisepak/data.txt", header=T)
trees$ct <- 1
And when I create some temp variable, then split the data to perform further
processing, the additional column doesn't maintain the data correctly....
