heatmap.2 problem
Dear List,
I'm trying to generate a simple heatmap that has each row and column
separated by a black line. However, for some reason this only happens
for the first and last color. The middle color in my colorpanel()
command has an addition horizontal and vertical line that I would like
to get rid off. Any suggestions?

How to plot doubles series with different location using plotCI
Dear list
members,
I would
like to create two series of plotted mean values and error bars, yet with
different locations along the x-axis.
Plotting of
first series using plotCI with the standard arguments goes without any problem.
However I do not succeed to add the second series in the same plot, which
should be horizontally shifted from the first series along the x-axis. The “add=TRUE”

Help with Error Message
Hoping someone can offer me some assistance. I'm trying to execute a script
and I keep getting this error message about "Error: element 12 is empty".
I'm wondering if my syntax is incorrect within legend.list. If anyone has
any suggestions to sees something obvious that I am missing, I would greatly
appreciate any help.
Many Thanks,

Attempting to make a custom color spectrum to use in heatmap.2
Hello there! I'd just like to say in advance, "Thank you," for any help
and/or advice.
My problem is as follows:
I have a dataset that is made up of percentages. I've assigned my
"error" percentages a value of '-100', my "non-existent" percentages a
value of '0', and all my other percentages are normal values that range
from the high

Reorder the x-axis using lattice
Dear list,
Is there a way to reorder the xaxis using lattice. Using the following data, the x-axis is ordered as BP GH MH PF RE RP SF VT but I would like the x-axis to be ordered as PF RP BP GH VT SF RE MH.

esto es lo mejor que me ha salido. A ver si por lo menos te ayuda.

Using a more stable nonlinear modeling tool will also help, but key is to get
the periodicity right.

fitting cosine curve
If you know the period and want to fit phase and amplitude, this is
equivalent to fitting a * sin + b * cos

I'm not sure what you meant by that, but I suspect it's related to
phase and amplitude.

help with making a function of scatter plot with multiple variables
Dear list,
I have done a scatter plot of multiple variables in the same graph, with different col and pch. I managed to do it with the following code but not know how to make a function of these so that next time if I want to do similar graph but with new variables, I dont have to copy the code and then change the old variables with the new ones but just call a function with the new

fitting cosine curve
Hi R users,
I have a question about fitting a cosine curve. I don't know how to set the
approximate starting values. Besides, does the method work for sine curve
as well? Thanks.
Part of the dataset is in the following:

Modelo senoidal de datos temporales de radiación y prueba de Thom
Hola a todos:
Estoy intentado realizar un modelo senoidal de unos datos de radiación
solar con el fin de afrontar el relleno de la serie y aplicar la prueba
de Thom para verificar su homogeneidad [0].
De momento me encuentro con los siguientes problemas:
1- ¿Existe la prueba de Thom en R? ¿O debo crearme mi propia función?
2- Para la realización del modelo senoidal estoy siguiendo los pasos

white lines in barplot
Dear R-helpers,
I would like to draw white lines in my barplots to improve the

I include an example:
barplot(sample(1:100,15),width=0.59,horiz=T,col="steelblue",border="NA",axes=F,ylim=c(0,10),xlim=c(0,100))
abline(v = seq(10, zehnind, by = 10), col = "white")

I need to convert them into DD/MM/YY format by pasting 01 in place of DD to
