similar to: Error in generating sweave-tex -> pdf file

I think I've gotten my Emacs/Sweave/R system set up correctly, thanks to Vincent and Jim, but I haven't been successful getting my first document produced. I'm trying to use one of Friedrich Leisch's examples, http://www.ci.tuwien.ac.at/~leisch/Sweave/example-1.Snw. I cut and pasted the text into a document sweaveexample.Rnw in Emacs. Hello Folks, When I run the document below through sweave, rgui.exe/rsession.exe leaves a file handle open to the sweave-001.pdf graphic (as verified by process explorer). Pdflatex.exe then crashes (with a Permission Denied error) because the graphic file is locked. This only seems to happen when there is an error in the sweave document. When there are no errors, no file handles are left open.
