R error using Survr function with gcmrec
Would someone be able to help with this question? I'm using the
Gcmrec, Survrec, and Design packages to do a power analysis on
simulated data. I'm receiving an error after using the Survr function
that all data must have a censoring time even after using the gcmrec
function: newdata<-addCenTime(olddata). My program is below. I'd
greatly appreciate any help!

Rcmd install mypkg
I noticed that in "R version 2.4.0 alpha (2006-09-16 r39365)" on Windows XP
that I get this error:
C:\Rpkgs>Rcmd install mypkg
no Perl script 'install'
The same command worked with no error in 2.3.1pat. If I capitalize
INSTALL it does work; however, this was not necessary previously.
Note that
C:\Rpkgs>Rcmd check mypkg
unlike install, still works in either lower or

Rcmd check for Windows fails (PR#7369)
Full_Name: Harald Weedon-Fekj?r

Dear R core
Thanks again for a superb program. This is really one of the rare instances I
find a bug. The bug is easy to bypass, but can be quite confusing;
"Rcmd check" seems to fail without any good error report if the package contains
a certain amount of R code and is run from a

proportional sampling
Dear All,
I wonder if you could help me.
I have a table with a series of sites that I would like to sample from.
The table has 5 columns:
ID
X Coordinate
Y Coordinate
Value
Factor
The conditions are that each site can be selected more than once and the
probability of it being selected (or sampled) is proportional to a factor
located in column 'Factor'
I am novice in terms of R, and

AW: running Rcmd INSTALL: working now!
I almost didn't believe in it anymore, but Rcmd INSTALL finally is working
for me!
Thanks to all who helped on this, especially to Guido Masarotto, Brian
Ripley, John Fox, Peter Dalgaard, Uwe Ligges.
Anyway, I do think the documentation is a bit confusing here (at least for
me, I don't know if others have felt the same). It might be a good idea to
add the essence of Brians and Guidos

GNU tar does not ignore files in .Rbuildignore (PR#1339)
Full_Name: David O. Nelson
Version: 1.4.1
OS: solaris 2.7
Submission from: (NULL) (128.115.150.74)
Putting patterns in .Rbuildignore has no effect when the tar being used is gnu
tar (1.13) on solaris 2.7, whilst /usr/sbin/tar works perfectly.
TO REPRODUCE:

Newbie creating package with compiled code
Hi R Gurus!
I'm trying to create a test package using the package.skeleton function.
I wanted to add some compiled code too.
In the src library, I put together a baby subroutine, compiled it and created
a test.dll
When I use the R cmd build, it works fine. But I get into trouble
with the R CMD check section.

timings for examples in R CMD check
I'm having a very hard time making R CMD check produce a clean check on
examples because of the timings inserted into examples by R CMD check.
I am getting a difference on every example output caused by timing
information being inserted by 'R CMD check'.
The current 'Writing R Extensions' manual[1] states on p. 14:

'R CMD INSTALL mypkg' doesn't always update help pages
Hi,
'R CMD INSTALL mypkg' and 'install.packages(mypkg, repos=NULL)' don't
update mypkg help pages when mypkg is a source directory. They only
install new help pages if there are some but they leave the already
installed pages untouched. So you end up with mixed man pages from
different versions of the package :-/
I found no mention of this in 'R CMD INSTALL --help' or
