Sweave and Miktex (Sweave.sty not found)
Hi all, I know from googling that this is a common problem; I've just tried what I understand to be the common solutions to know avail -- maybe I'm just confused. I installed Miktex 2.8 -- it seems to be working fine. I'm using this demo document: http://www.stat.berkeley.edu/~houston/demo.Rnw I've copied the Sweave.sty file into at this point multiple places on the Miktex

How to run Bibtex with pdfLatex in StatEt/MikTex on Windows ?
Hello, I'm running R2.10, Eclipse, StatEt and MikTex 2.8 to create Sweave documents, and everything seems to work great, until today... I was trying to add citations from a Bibtex file, but I just got [?] citations. However, if I open the .tex file that StatEt created in MikTex and run the latex+bibtex+pdflatex command, the citations are present. Does anyone know how to either configure

latex warning
Dear all, I am getting an R CMD check warning about the PDF manual. I am having a hard time finding out what is wrong, here is the log of the Rd2pdf call. The full check (and other) log is at https://api.travis-ci.org/jobs/46373922/log.txt?deansi=true if anybody is interested, and the package itself is here: https://github.com/metacran/r-builder/tree/bintex/rbuildertest Thanks, Best, Gabor

I have downloaded a file that I don't know how to describe correctly. It contains R code and Latex, and I should be able to reproduce an analysis by running an R script in this folder. There is a line in the R script: junk <- system(paste("/usr/texbin/pdflatex ",latexFiles[i1]), intern=TRUE) that needs to be modified to run on my computer. I use WinEdt with

running 'make' failed during vignette creation ('R CMD build') on Windows
Hi, This is a follow-up to the problem reported here: https://stat.ethz.ch/pipermail/r-devel/2010-September/058460.html After I updated R-2.12 to 2010-09-13 r52905 on the Bioc build system, some of the packages that have a Makefile in <pkg>/inst/doc still don't build on Windows. For example, 'R\bin\R.exe CMD build adSplit' gives: * checking for file

bash help please
I'd like to make MikTeX the default TeX package in 2.2.0, but we still need to let people use other packages. The problem is that MikTeX wants a command line option --include-directory $R_HOME/share/texmf, while other packages specify includes via environment variables, and barf when they see the unexpected option. The choice should be controlled by the user's settings in the MkRules

I copy the example from help Sweave testfile <- system.file("Sweave", "Sweave-test-1.Rnw", package = "utils") ## enforce par(ask=FALSE) options(device.ask.default=FALSE) ## create a LaTeX file Sweave(testfile) ## This can be compiled to PDF by tools::texi2dvi("Sweave-test-1.tex", pdf=TRUE) and I

Some more changes are in the making, also for texi2pdf (but that has not been touched yet). > > I tried building 87668 today on Windows 10 and received the error >

Where can I found hepl about latex errors: the R CMD check tells me less, but: * checking PDF version of manual ... WARNING LaTeX errors when creating PDF version. how to use \Sexpr{} with sweave
I'm trying to learn Sweave. So far things are going well with the chunks of code identified by << >>= But I'm having trouble with the in-line text use of \Sexpr. Here is a short example .Rnw file: \documentclass[12pt]{article} \usepackage[margin=1.25in]{geometry} \usepackage{graphicx} \usepackage{Sweave} \begin{document} <<test>>= pnorm(1) @ \Sexpr{2+6}

Error in building pdf manual with Rtools
Dear list, I am trying to produce a pdf manual using Rtools (version 3.1.0.1936) on Windows 8 (64-bit). I am also aware of the inconsolata issue posted in the forum (https://stat.ethz.ch/pipermail/r-devel/2013-June/066850.html), and then I have installed the patched version of R-3.0.1. However I still have some errors with the following message: R CMD Rd2pdf mypack Hmm ... looks like a package

Issues with TMPDIR/TEMP/TMP? Failure of R CMD check under Windows 7
Dear helpeRs, on my Windows 7 laptop, I have problems getting R CMD check to work. I believe it did work completely before, but I am not sure. Yesterday it almost worked, except for the tests: These were aborted because of a complaint that the temporary directory wasn't available. I played with windows environment variables for the temporary directory, but that didn't solve it.

Windows problem related to using shortPathName for Sweave style file
In the process of updating R to R 2.7 alpha or R 2.7 beta for the BioConductor 2.2 builds on Windows, I have hit a snag because the BioC build system has long path names (e.g. D:\biocbld\bbs-2.2-bioc\R) and these path names are not resolving properly by MiKTeX 2.7 during vignette construction. Take, for example, the attached vignette from Biobase, Bioconductor.Rnw. I have built R from source
