Typo in 2.10.0 NEWS file (PR#14054)
Full_Name: Rick Sayre Version: 2.10.0 OS: linux/windows/os x Submission from: (NULL) (138.72.146.168) Man, it feels ungrateful to report this, but it looks like in the process of having my wish PR#13758 fulfilled, a typo snuck in to the "NEWS" releasenotes: o New as.raw() method for "tclObj" objects (wish of PR#13578). I'm pretty sure that's a typo, and should

[LLVMdev] Overzealous PromoteCastOfAllocation
Hi Dan, > Oh, ok. So code that takes an alloca, bitcasts the address to a higher > alignment, Since alignment is not a property of a type, I don't think you can "bitcast to a higher alignment" as such. I still understand what you mean, though :-) > and then does a load or store at the higher alignment, is > invoking undefined behavior. The alignment attribute on a load

Makevars PKG_LIBS ignored by SHLIB (PR#9473)
Full_Name: Rick Sayre Version: 2.4.0 OS: Windows Submission from: (NULL) (138.72.27.164) PKG_LIBS works fine on *nix on windows, it seems to be ignored by the "SHLIB" script so, R CMD SHLIB blah properly uses PKG_CPPFLAGS and PKG_CFLAGS from Makevars, but PKG_LIBS is ignored

Understanding the version handling in LLVM/Clang/LLD
[ Please CC me I ma not subcribed to this mailing-list ] [ CC Tom and Hans as LLVM/stable maintainers ] Hi, I want to understand the version handling in LLVM/Clang/LLD. Normally, I build from "release/10.x" Git branch by using the tool tc-build from ClangBuiltLinux project. With "llvm-10.0.1-rc1" Git tag I was able to setup a llvm-toolchain consisting of the projects

Tcl/Tk and mouse
Within a loop I tried to draw some things in dependency on the position of the mouse. This works fine with R-1.5.1 but R-1.6.1 requires to include some delay by Sys.sleep(delay) with delay>=0.015. For smaller values (e.g. 0.0001) the top level tcltk-window does not appear and so I am not able to control the elements to be plotted using the tcltk-widget. Question1: How can I force

Some R-Tcl/Tk-BWidget newbie questions.
Dear list, Could somebody who is more experienced with the Tcl/Tk interface from R please help me clarify the issues I've put below with ### --> tags? Several things go wrong, and it's probably because of messy code, but I have a difficult time finding out what is the cause. Thanks very much, JeeBee. require(tcltk) || stop("Package tcltk is not available.") # Add path to

another tcl/tk query
Greetings: I wish to use a tcl/tk widget to ask for user-selected parameter values. My widget works ? it asks for and returns to my workspace the stuff I need. Here is a snippet of my code: ############################### OnOK <- function() { LOG.X <<- as.logical(as.character(tclvalue(log.X.buttonValue))) LOG.Y <<- as.logical(as.character(tclvalue(log.Y.buttonValue)))

read.table in TCL/TK interface
hello, i would like program userfriendly tcl/tk widgets like the t-test example in a more complex way ! (1) Is it not possible to combine tk_getOpenFile with the R function read.table to select in userfriendly way data sets ? (I'm newbie and take code-parts from t-test example and scripting example.) (2) Is it possible to use a variableSelection widget to select a special variable which i

tcltk and locator interaction
I was trying to write a small routine using the tcltk library which allows a little bit of interaction with a plot. Basically, using the function locator(1), a user could click on an area of a graph which would cause a little tcltk window to pop up. When they have finished with the window, they click on a tcltk button, the window disappears, allowing the user to select another point on the graph

New to the community - a few questions
Hello everyone, I´m new to the list and I´m doing some research on all virtualization products and solutions avaiable, and I have two questions about Xen: - Does it use have memory overcommitment techniques (ballooning, TMPS, swapping)? - Does it do software thin provisioning? - I read it has a very strong point when using paravirtualization with Linux systems. Does it have any other kind of

package check note: no visible global function definition (in functions using Tcl/Tk)
Hello, when testing packages under R version 2.6.0 Under development (unstable), in order to discover future compatibility issues, I recently get numerous "possible problem notes" for different (own and other contributed) packages containing Tcl/Tk code, e.g.: * checking R code for possible problems ... tcl/tk return problem
Hello, I'm very new in working with tcl/tk in R and have a problem which will probably sound silly to most of you. Here is the code I have problems with: readcelfiles <- function() { require(tcltk) tt <- tktoplevel() tkgrid(tklabel(tt,text="Choose a directory!")) OnOK <- function() { fileDir<-tclvalue(tkchooseDirectory()) data.raw <-

Retrieving data from a tcl /tk function
Hello, I am sorry if this is an answered question, but I did my homework for a long while and couldn't figure out a way to retrieve data entry from a model dialog. In one of the examples compiled by James Wettenhall: odalDialog <- function(title, question, entryInit, entryWidth = 20, returnValOnCancel = "ID_CANCEL") { dlg <- tktoplevel() tkwm.deiconify(dlg)

7 days confusion over lists
Hello, I am a Masters student and I am working on my thesis modelling smallholder farms using a program in R. I have modified the original code and I am having some issues with lists that I cannot figure out. Originally, I had list file defining lists such as: Param, Crop1, Crop1, Soil, etc. (ex. Param <- list() ). Their subsets were listed as Crop1$CContent for example and there was quite

Tcl/Tk window lingering too long
I want to set up a simple Tk dialog interface to a function in R, such that when the "OK" button is pressed, the dialog window is destroyed and then R does its work on the data/parameters/whatever that were entered in the dialog. The function "test" below is a simple prototype. My problem: upon running test() and hitting "OK", R does its work (ie, computes

mirroring with LVM?
I'm pulling my hair out trying to setup a mirrored logical volume. lvconvert tells me I don't have enough free space, even though I have hundreds of gigabytes free on both physical volumes. Command: lvconvert -m1 /dev/vg1/iscsi_deeds_data Insufficient suitable allocatable extents for logical volume : 10240 more required Any ideas? Thanks!, Gordon Here's the output from the

[PATCH nbdkit] Add Tcl plugin, for writing plugins in Tcl.
This lets you write simple plugins in Tcl. All the basic features of nbdkit are supported, but serious Tcl users will probably want to enhance the plugin further. Unfortunately Tcl as a language is not very well suited to handling binary data. It prefers to store binary data in UCS-2 strings, meaning that every second byte is wasted. Also there appears to be no way to replace part of such a
