[LLVMdev] [MSan] false positive from Memory Sanitizer?
In the example below, the Memory Sanitizier (from clang 3.3) reports an error: #include <math.h> int main() { double x; (void) modf(0, &x); if (x) { // Boom return 1; } return 0; } I see that modf() is not implemented by compiler-rt. Is it possible to make the Memory Sanitizer assume that all un-instrumented functions initialize any pointers arguments?

rgl: bogus configure[.ac] (PR#14183)
Full_Name: Jens Elkner Version: 2.10.1 OS: Solaris Submission from: (NULL) (141.44.24.14) The configure.ac is bogus, since it does not include additional library pathes at the right place and thus fails. E.g.: $R_HOME/bin/R CMD INSTALL -l $PROTO/R/library \ --configure-args='--with-gl-includes=/usr/X11/include/NVIDIA --with-gl-libs=/usr/X11/lib/NVIDIA/amd64' $TMPBUILD And thus

scatterplot3d with categorical data
Dear users, I'm trying to produce a 3d bar plot but the x and y dimensions have categorical data -- so I only want 3 points on each axis. So I try: require(scatterplot3d) mymat<-data.frame( x=c(1,1,1,2,2,2,3,3,3), y=c(1,2,3,1,2,3,1,2,3), z=c(1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9)) scatterplot3d(mymat, type="h", lwd=5, pch=" ", xlab="xlabel",

HTB kernel panic crash!
(list admin, please cancel the same post from my other email address -- forgot to change it on first submission) I need to setup QoS on a linux router/firewall I maintain. I spent 10 hours reading everything I could find on QoS/HTB/iproute2 and came up with what I thought made sense for my situation. So I deployed it and BOOM! KERNEL PANIC! Not what I was expecting... now the debugging begins.

C++ debugging help needed
I've had reports lately about segfaults in the rgl package. I've only been able to reproduce these on Linux. I am not so familiar with C++ details, so I have a couple of questions way down below. But first some background info. One recipe to recreate the crash works with a new version 5.0-1 of the mixOmics package: > library(mixOmics) > example(pca) This crashes with
