access denied on printing from win2k?
Hi,
I'm running samba 2.2.1a (RPM install) on RedHat 7.2
I've connected a Canon LBP-8 IV laserprinter to the network via a HP
Jetdirect box.
I've configured the printer within linux and printing goes fine.
Now I'm trying to access the printer via samba from my win2k clients. Now,
the problem is: When I'm trying to print to the printer (e.g. a testpage) I

Error in library(gplots) : there is no package called 'gplots'
Dear all,
I have an issue trying to install new packages (have tried with RODBC_1.3-1, gplots_2.6.1, gtools_2.7.4 packages) and get the same error message :
"Error in library(gplots) : there is no package called 'gplots'"
Only clue I have found so far on the Web is related to Perl (Perl modules are installed on my computer, but which one is related to gplots if any ?); no

how a latent state matrix is updated using package R2WinBUGS
I'm trying to understand how a latent state matrix is updated by the MCMC
iterations in a WinBUGS model, using the package R2WinBUGS and an example
from Kery and Schaub's (2012) book, "Bayesian Population Analysis Using
WinBUGS". The example I'm using is 7.3.1. from a chapter on the
Cormack-Jolly-Seber model. Some excerpted code is included at the end of

Voicemail: don't play vm-intro if custom intro is recorded.
Hi Gang
We migrated our voicemail system from asterisk 13 to 16 a couple of
months ago.
Right after the migration, we got the complaint that vm-intro is being
played when the customer had recorded a own announcement. So I assumed
we had replaced that file by a zero lenght one on the previous
installation and did the same to suppress that surplus intro.
Now I got the opposite complaint: If the

<intro> stream stopt after intro
Hi Guys,
I'm using the icecast-2.1-kh5 for the intro feature. The intro works,
but after the intro it stops. It does not go on
with the stream. When I comment the intro part, the stream works perfectly.
Does anybody know what I can do to solve this problem?

Now it is! It had a different samplerate. Now it works. :-)
Thanks!

Intro
Hi all,
I'm very glad to have found this list as I've made a leap of faith and
installed CentOS5 as my new testbed/dev machine.
An advance 'thank you' to all more experienced than I for answers and a
promise to be concise in my (surely about to become) abundant questions
and just as forthcoming with answers I may have to help others.
Regards from sunny Florida, US.

Solutions to exercises in "Introductory Statistics with R" OR Intro. to R Book Suggestions with Solutions Available
Hi--
I'm trying to teach myself R using Peter Dalgaard's "Introductory Statistics
with R." Does anyone know if there are solutions available for the
exercises?
I'm really just hoping to learn by going through exercises and checking
myself, so alternatively, does anyone know of an introductory textbook to R
that does have answers available either in the back or online?

Agreed that it needs to move to llvm proper, this was always the plan.
