Update csgfs without breaking things
Now that the csgfs repo has been updated to support the new kernel, I'm looking at doing updates again. I just want to do it without breaking things (if possible). I can handle doing a bit of trial and error, but I figure that if you guys can point out any obvious pitfalls, that can save me quite a bit of time. I'm looking at doing the following install/update:

Problems with csgfs after update
Hi all, Today I have update Centos cluster suite and my test cluster does not startup. When ccsd service tries to start returns this error: [root at srvimss1 lib]# ccsd Failed to connect to cluster manager. Hint: Magma plugins are not in the right spot. When I run magma_tools config plugindir returns me this setup: /lib/magma. This directory does not exists. How can I fix this problem???

Sync of csgfs and current centos 4 updates
Hi list, I've been trying to update my csgfs stuff to 4.7 this week but I notice that current csgfs is built against kernel-2.6.9-78.0.1 and is required as a dependence, right now current kernel is 2.6.9-78.0.5 it would be great if csgfs can be rebuilt or updated to this, so dependences works ok??? Best regards

gnbd help on centos
I've googled for this, but everything I find tends to talk about cluster and doesn't give an example close enough that I can figure this out. I have read the Red Hat Cluster Suite Configuring and Managing a Cluster <http://www.redhat.com/docs/manuals/csgfs/browse/rh-cs-en/> links from http://www.redhat.com/docs/manuals/csgfs/. (I think these are mirred on centos.org, but I

GFS: Howto - Help/ Inconsistent - Wiki Volunteer?

Run up2date --installall --channel Label for Red Hat Cluster Suite. The following example shows running the command for i386 RPMs: # up2date --installall --channel rhel-i386-as-4-cluster 3. cs & gfs
Hi all, I was informed[1] that gfs & rhcs packages are in the works but that there are some problems with the code. What are these problems? Can we do anything to help test / solve them? gnbd vs drbd
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Up until now, I have been using drbd for file custers with great success. Yes, it is a PITA, and sometimes you can get annoying sincronization issues (mostly on lab situations). Now I have been considering giving gnbd (with cs/gfs) a try. Do any of you ever crossed this path ? Any comparisons or comments ? TIA, - -- Rodrigo Barbosa "Quid

Device-mapper-multipath not working correctly with GNBD devices
Hi all, I am trying to configure a failover multipath between 2 GNBD devices. I have a 4 nodes Redhat Cluster Suite (RCS) cluster. 3 of them are used for running services, 1 of them for central storage. In the future I am going to introduce another machine for central storage. The 2 storage machine are going to share/export the same disk. The idea is not to have a single point of failure

I just took a brand new CentOS 4.2 x86_64 install, updated all of the base packages with yum, and then added the csgfs repo and attempted to install those packages. CSGFS repository not up-to-date?
Let me QUICKLY say I'm not complaining here, but is the csgfs repository not being actively maintained? The Red Hat ftp site has much newer versions available than what is currently in the CentOS csgfs repo, at least for the kernel modules. Should I just go ahead and rebuild them from the SRPMs myself, or is this an unintended condition? This has been holding me up from upgrading to the

Will centos Team drop support for CSGFS 4??
Hi all, I would like to ask if the centos team will drop support for the CSGFS version 4, it's been 3 months since csgfs does not sync updates with rh, but rh has posted all their updates to their cs gfs version 4 public available. If help is needed to rebuild this updates just let it know. Best regards

csgfs update for 4.5
Anybody here know when there is going to be an update for the cluster packages for the 2.6.9-55.0.2 kernel that was released in June? The packages available from the repo are compiled against 2.6.8-55. I want to update my GFS cluster to CentOS 4.5, but I don't want to do such a major upgrade and leave out the kernel packages. -- Bowie
