R postscript generation error (lines versus points) (PR#5285)
Full_Name: Stephen Harker Version: 1.80 OS: linux (Yellow Dog 3.0 on ppc) Submission from: (NULL) (130.194.13.101) In creating a postscript file from a set of data in which the points are plotted using `points()' and lines drawn using `lines()' I have found since upgrading from R version 1.4? to 1.8 that the two sets do not coinicide completely. This is best illustrated by a simple

"net rpc vampire" case sensitivity problem
We just migrated a small network from a Win2K PDC to Samba, using "net rpc vampire" into a tdbsam backend on a Samba 3.0.2a Linux box. One of the users, let's call him Jon Harker, had the NT username "JHarker". When we ran "pdbedit -v jharker", we saw this: Unix username: JHarker NT username: JHarker Well, that looks wrong - the NT

liveice/lame problem
I've set up Liveice on a Yellowdog Linux laptop (YDL 2.0). I'm trying to stream to an icecast server on another YDL 2.0 system. Streaming seems to be fine, but encoding is pure garbage. When I listen to the stream, it basically sounds like white noise. The intesity of the hum depends on the strength of the sound being encoded, though. If I stop playing the CD, it drops to a gentle

R in ConTeXt
In case there are users of the TeX macro package ConTeXt on this list, they may be interested to know that it is now possible to include R code in a ConTeXt document and have the code evaluated while compiling. The inverse of Sweave, as it were. The advantage is that there is then only one file to keep track of (.tex vs .rnw and .tex), while a drawback is speed, since each code snippet is

pch and mkh bug PR#225
I am sorry about the problem caused by my first attempt at reporting a bug. This is a followup to my report PR#225, hopefully being more useful. By not I have a better understanding of the problems being reported. I wish to report one bug relating to plot character and to mention two other possible bugs (these may relate to differences between R and S) I have noticed with R. We have recently

ain)... Using YellowDogLinux 4.1 on a Macintosh B&W modified. This system contains two hard drives, both ATA. Installed YDL, everything working fine. I'm looking to explore using this machine with Samba to share files and other services on a mixed LAN, and I've been trying to follow the "By Example" portion of Samba's site, but not all the instructions are matching.

Hi there, I've been having a go at improving the Wikipedia article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Theora I've updated the technical details a bit, improved the references, tidied up the wording, removed some FUD, updated the 1.1 beta status, and added the Youtube comparisons. I've left out the Google On2 purchase for now as there's nothing concrete yet. Please let me know if
