AnonCVS
Hi All, I would like to use anonymous cvs, but it appears not to be working (again?). There was a discussion back in Jan-Feb about whether to continue supporting it, but it seemed that Tony Rossini got it working and the discussion left off there. Did someone decide to disable it, or is it just not working properly? Here's the details: $ cvs -d

anoncvs
I'm trying to do cvs -d :pserver:anoncvs@cvs.r-project.org:/home/rcvs/src login and I get "authorization failed...rejected access" with the previously advertised password (anoncvs). Has the access been changed or is anyone else having this problem? I'm not very familiar with cvs so I may be making some mistake. Paul Gilbert

Anonymous CVS access now available from anoncvs.freebsd.org
Please see: http://www.freebsd.org/handbook/anoncvs.html For full information on using ``anoncvs'' to fetch FreeBSD CVS repository (or buildable source) bits. If you're also interested in setting up your own regional AnonCVS server, please see: ftp://ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/FreeBSD-CVS/anoncvs.shar For some setup instructions on doing this (essentially the list of steps I

Portable OpenSSH anoncvs
Hi all. The OpenSSH Portable anoncvs service has found a temporary home (mine :-). It's on a DSL link so please be nice to it. It may move in future so please use the "anoncvs.mindrot.org" alias. $ cvs -z5 -d anoncvs at anoncvs.mindrot.org:/cvs co openssh_cvs The key fingerprints are: RSA 8e:09:e9:fb:dc:af:e4:a5:e6:a0:e2:28:59:63:84:17 DSA

CVS changes
To all CVS users of ices 0.x: I've just merged the ices-libshout_2 branch onto HEAD. Anyone using that branch should switch back to HEAD to continue to get the latest updates. This also means you now need the latest version of libshout2 from CVS in order to build ices from CVS. libshout2: :pserver:anoncvs@cvs.xiph.org:/usr/local/cvsroot libshout ices:

Java Bindings
I've created a set of java bindings for the newest libshout 2.0 release. They work well and enable the streaming of mp3 and ogg/vorbis to icecast2 servers from java. Binding with java allows for complex java logic while using the fast, maintained and solid native backend. They can be fetched from CVS via: cvs -d :pserver:anoncvs@benow.ca:/cvs/benow login <passwd:

Anonymous cvs access
With Tony Rossini's help we have established anonymous CVS access to a read-only copy of the main R CVS tree at cvs.r-project.org. This would be of interest primarily to those who want to track the development version (and who have access to CVS, of course). To use anonymous cvs you must log in to the server under the name "anoncvs" and with the password "anoncvs". You
