OT: Adding verbatim R code text into LaTeX documents: texttt; verb or url?
Hi all
I use Sweave extensively to mix R and LaTeX, and often have R code appearing in my LaTeX document.
Just a quick question then: What is the best way to add example of R commands into LaTeX in-line? (That is, not using Sweave.) For example, suppose I wish to place in my document this instruction:
...is done in R using the command \verb|lm( y ~ var.one + var.two )| as follows:

[LLVMdev] [PATCH] include/llvm/Support/MemoryBuffer.h: remove spurious @verbatim
Hi,
http://llvm.org/doxygen/classllvm_1_1MemoryBuffer.html
shows
"the file, and that this character will read as '\0'. "
as a "verbatim text" box. This looks ugly and is probably a
mistake. The attached patch removes this extra @verbatim
... @endverbatim from comments.

Getting subframe type=verbatim on 16 bit files
I'm using libFLACC++ and libFLAC and I think that I'm using the calls in the
typical order (see code below). But every monoe or stereo file that I send
thru I get files that are the same sze as the orginal wave files.
Doing a flac -a on the flac files I see that I get:
frame=9 blocksize=4608 sample_rate=8000 channels=1
channel_assignment=INDEPENDENT
subframe=0

Getting subframe type=verbatim on 16 bit files
Here's how I set up the data for processing:
// For moving data into 32 bit shape
uint8_t *buffer8 = NULL;
uint16_t *buffer16 = NULL;
uint32_t *buffer32 = NULL;
unsigned sample32;
unsigned sample, channel;
uint32_t bitsPerSample = this->get_bits_per_sample();
numFrames = inData.GetSize();

R CMD check and error in an \Sexpr in an Rd file
Hi,
another Rd related issue I encountered is that if an error occurs in an
\Sexpr in an Rd file, then on get the following error:
* checking for portable compilation flags in Makevars ... OK
* checking for portable use of $(BLAS_LIBS) and $(LAPACK_LIBS) ... OK
* checking examples ... ERROR

Rd - \preformatted, \section and LaTeX problem
Hi,
I have found an unwanted feature in the Rd to LaTeX convertion
regarding \preformatted inside a \section. I have created an Rd
example below, which generates an error in the following 'R CMD check'
step
* creating aroma.affine-manual.tex ... OK
* checking aroma.affine-manual.tex ... ERROR
LaTeX errors when creating DVI version.
This typically indicates Rd problems.

Sweave issue: quotes in verbatim-like output print incorrectly
Hi all
I love Sweave; use it all the time.
But I recently received a new computer, and ever since I
have had a problem I've never seen before.
For example, I place the following in my Snw file:
<<>>=
sms <-
read.table("http://www.sci.usq.edu.au/staff/dunn/Datasets/applications/popular/smsspeed.dat",
header=TRUE)
attach(sms)

grep, gsub, sub have problems with NA values (PR#3078)

Two minor escaping issues using \preformatted{....} in Rd format
Hi r-devels,
I have two minor problems with special characters in Rd files when
used within a \preformatted{} markup command:

I would like to write "\\\}" to produce \} on output (documenting

documentation questions
You've answered my question 2 about why the manual was in odd order
> R CMD check was more of a check of the latex version of the files, not

I was looking at the result of R CMD check, and it was in random order
(perhaps file date?), not just a different collation choice. Very odd.
I will cease worrying about what I might have "done wrong".

odfWeave error
odfWeave is throwing up a cryptic error, after successfully processing a
file with a large number of figures (~30) and many \Sexpr{} calls. The
error is (at least to me) cryptic. I am not sure where to look to
correct this problem.
Here's the error:

in Rd documentation, line breaks in code blocks?
Hi everyone,
following the gentle advice from this list, I write a package

I have a section in there. In this section, I have a subsection. In
this subsection, I want to have a code fragment. This code fragment
should include several commands, spanning several lines.
Example:

Package documentation in dissertation
Hey Everyone,
I wrote up a library for my dissertation work, and I'd love to include
it as an appendix. I have found ways to export the Rd files as html,
txt and pdf/ps, but not a raw tex export. I've had to resort to dumping
it into text files, and just using verbatim in my LaTeX code. Does
anybody have any recommendations or experiences with dealing with this?
