Problem with example(medpolish) in R-devel
Today's R-devel has a problem in `example(medpolish)'. It appears that
the `plot.medpolish' method is not available. Here is the output and
traceback() after starting `R --vanilla':

bug fix integer overflow in medpolish function
Dear R team
I noticed a bug in the "medpolish" function in the "stats" package.
When I run medpolish(x), with "x" the matrix in the attached .rda file,
I get this rather cryptic error:
"Error in if (converged) break : missing value where TRUE/FALSE needed
In addition: Warning message:
In sum(abs(z), na.rm = na.rm) : integer overflow - use

Extracting results from a median polish
Quick question from a new user to R,
How do I extract my solution of a median polish matrix from R to a spreadsheet file such as .csv?
>From my reading of my guide book (R for SPSS and SAS users version 2), I deduce that exporting a file to .csv would look like the following:
write.csv(medpolish, file ="outfilename.csv", row.names = FALSE) ,

Wishlist: specify the border color of boxes in legend() (PR#13913)
I could not find a way to specify the border color of the boxes drawn in
a legend, so that the legend can match exactly the colors of the actual
plot (e.g. in the case of two superimposed histograms which have
different shading and different borders).
Indeed, the legend function seems to hard code the color "black" for the
borders in this call:

data frame to array
Aloha all,
I have a data frame with 4 columns. The first three are factors (f1,
f2, f3) and the fourth is numeric. I'd like to explore these data
using median polish. To do that I plan to use medpolish() on the
matrix[f1,f2xf3], then medpolish on the resulting matrix[f2,f3]. This
approach is described by Cook on page 141 of Exploring Data Tables,
Trends, and Shapes.

MacOSX package install problem: pkgs quadprog & tseries
I upgraded to R-2.2.1 on two PPC G5 computers today. Further I want
to work with the tseries package for the first time.
As root with

I get the following

tseries
Has anyone successfully check/build tseries for MacOSX?
It seems like there is the same problem with symbols duplications. The
-m like option does not seem to help.

[Spam] Re: Problems with garch() function tseries package R 2.6.0
Hi,
What other information should i post?
I now have the two versions on the same machine. With R 2.3.1 and tseries 0.10-7 it works fine. With R 2.6.0 and tseries 0.10-11 the function garch doesnt work.
The test was made with the same data, in the same machine.
The maintainer did not say anything yet.

tseries 0.7-0 with R 1.2.1 dumps core (PR#827)
Dear Dr. Trapletti,
I am trying to use your tseries 0.7-0 package with R 1.2.1
(the latest version) under redhat linux 6.2, but the command
library(tseries)
causes R dump to core with a segmentation fault.
Do you have any suggestions how to fix this?
Thank you,
Keith

tseries "adf.test"
I have a question regarding the adf.test command in the tseries library.
I have a vector of time series observations (2265 daily log prices for the
OEX to be exact). I also have this same data in first-differenced form. I
want to test both vectors individually for staionarity with an Augmented
Dickey-Fuller test. I noticed when I use the adf.test command from the
tseries library, the general

Did I find a bug on TSERIES or URCA packages?
I'm tring the functions to check the cointegration of a matrix.
I'm using **Phillips & Ouliaris Cointegration Test**
The function in *tseries* package is **po.test** and **ca.po** in *urca*
The results with **URCA** are:
> ca.po(prices, demean='none')
