Nagios NRPE IPv6
On my network management server I have
Name : nagios-plugins-nrpe
Arch : x86_64
Version : 2.13
Release : 1.el6

To my dismay I noticed that this doesn't seem to support IPv6:

galadriel.example.com has IPv6 address 2001:db8:f004:8::32

IPv6 Reverse Lookup Zone (Internal DNS) [SEC=UNCLASSIFIED]
UNCLASSIFIED
Hi,
I can successfully setup an IPv6 Reverse Lookup Zone (Samba 4.8.0 Internal DNS) and add valid PTR entries using samba-tool and/or RSAT DNS.
However I cannot view the PTR records with samba-tool or RSAT.

Copy to 3.0.9-2.3-SUSE dies after 1.2 gb copied
I have Samba 3.0.9 on SuSE 9.2 on a P-III-500 with only 352mb of RAM. The
share I'm copying to is on a SCSI RAID array handled by a Compaq Smart-2/P
RAID Controller (rev 04) as identified by lspci. The RAID is all LVM and
the share is ReiserFS-- maybe not the best choice for something which is so
slow to write to.
Anyhow, the problem is that when I copy to the share "movies" it

deleting folders containing subfolders with thunderbird (mbox format) bug
When using Thunderbird (dovecot-0.99.13-3.FC3) on Fedora connecting to
dovecot-0.99.13-3.FC3 I am having problems deleting folders which have
been created with the 'Allow your new folder to contain: Folders only'
option picked.
The folder appears to get deleted but upon restarting Thunderbird the
folder still appears to be there but clicking on it I get the error:

Transport endpoint not connected
Well, I WAS puzzled by this persistent error. Then I stumbled onto
something and I might have fixed it. It looks like with an XP client, XP
might be trying to renegotiate which port to talk (445 or 139) over at the
start of every transaction. Whichever one answers first is used for the
rest of the transfer.
I added this to smb.conf and restarted samba:
smb ports = 139

Transfer FSMO roles [SEC=UNOFFICIAL]
UNOFFICIAL
Hi,
I am running an old SAMBA DC (Bilbo) that I want to upgrade. I installed the latest version of SAMBA 4 on an old PC (jimbo) and joined the domain. I intend to transfer the FSMO roles, upgrade Bilbo and transfer the roles back.
I have transferred all roles except domaindns and forestdns. Jimbo says that these roles have no owner but Bilbo thinks it is the owner.
Is there some way

Should llvm-nm classify Mach-O __DATA, __common symbols as BSS?
Hello LLVM-Devs,
Perhaps a pedantic question, but I'm wondering how __DATA,__common and
__DATA,__bss symbols differ, and whether llvm-nm ought not classify
the former as type "B" as it does the latter:
$ cat bss.c
int i;
static int si __attribute__((used));
$ clang -fno-common -c bss.c
$ nm bss.o
0000000000000000 S _i
0000000000000004 b _si
$ nm -m bss.o

Homedir maps (+small patch)
Hello,
I have following setup: User homedir are on server B and I have samba
running on server A and B (B is dec/osf1, A is HPUX).
In Luke's reply to "Spiros B" (tue 12 aug 97) he said:

Printing fails above a certain size
It was suggested here at my work that we get a monitorless NT station so that
the Windows PCs could print on our predominantly Sun network. I suggested
Samba and had it set up fairly easily (quite nice).
I'm running Samba on a RedHat 5.2 system on an Intel chip. The installation
went mostly fine. I just had to make the Samba spool directory world writable
for the printing to work.

Dovecot+PAM advice please?
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1
Hi all,
sorry to bother you with this. I'm trying to set up an experimental
system (which may become production if it ever gets off the ground) and
it's not working.
The short version: I'm trying to get Dovecot 1.2.4 to authenticate
against a customised PAM module. In short, we're using a specialised OTP
radius backend. One of my

Dear all,
I've been trying to get a Dovecot IMAP service running under HP-UX
11.23, IA64. The system has 6GB of spare space under /var and at least
the same amount of RAM free at the current time.
I've compiled from the latest source (1.2.4), using the following options:

Creating samba4/AD users from ADUC
We have a couple Samba4 AD domains we've implemented and I've noticed a
difference between how users look when created via ADUC versus samba-tool.
Created via ADUC, the following extra attributes are added:
msSFU30Name: bilbo
msSFU30NisDomain: netdirect
unixHomeDirectory: /home/bilbo
unixUserPassword: ABCD!efgh12345$67890
Created via samba-tool, the following extra attributes are added:

R-1.6.0 for Darwin
I don't think it is necessary to put binary versions of the Darwin/X11
version on CRAN any more. The current sources compile without
problems on both Mac OS X 10.1 and 10.2, using either gcc/g77 2.95.2 or
gcc/g77 3.1, or f2c. It seems to me that
if you are using R from the command line, using X11, that you are
sophisticated enough to install the tools below. And, if you want

generic rpm .spec.in
Hi there,
I made up a very simple and generic rpm .spec.in.
It's .in, so autoconf can replace the VERSION in it, so
there's only one place to maintain the version number.
This .spec.in is independent of any distribution and does
not include any "advanced" features. It just packages the
installed files up.
There are two things that it does do extra:
1) create
