core dump on 64-bit Solaris (PR#990)
Using the 64-bit Solaris compilers make check dumps core in La_rs at 73 F77_CALL(dsyev)(jobv, uplo, &n, rx, &n, rvalues, work, &lwork, &info); I can't reproduce it easily, but example(eigen) occasionally stops with Error: abs(sm - V %*% diag(lam) %*% t(V)) < 60 * Meps is not TRUE which might be connected. The tiny rounding errors in example(eigen) aren't

make check on DU4 with R-1.1.0 snapshot

Snapshots
Hello, I would like to ask what I am doing  wrong and what is the best approach to resolve this situation: First of all I start virtual machine by virDomainCreateXML. In my application I use libvncclient library that sends mouse events to this running domain. I had some troubles with coordinates of mouse cursor but all problem was solved when I added <input type='tablet'

Additional autoconf test for linuxppc/mklinux
I am attaching a patch to R-0.63's configure.in file which will enable R to detect and use some special math libraries on linuxppc and mklinux. The patch provides tests for these libraries and enable/disable switches for them as well. One library is the libmoto math library which must be used in conjunction with libm (it only replaces some of libm's functions). The other is a RISC

R_alloc with more than 2GB (PR#7721)
Full_Name: Wolfgang Huber Version: R-devel_2005-03-10 OS: alphaev68-dec-osf4.0f Submission from: (NULL) (62.253.128.15) This report concerns allocation of large (>2^31 byte) chunks of memory with R_alloc. I suspect it is a bug/typo but please don't hate me if it's actually a feature: In R, I can happily create large matrices: > a= matrix(0, nrow=191481, ncol=3063) > dim(a) [1]

EXT3 fs error on RAID1 device
Hi all. I have a Dell SC440 running Centos 4.4. It has two 500GB disks in a RAID1 array using linux software raid (md1 is / and md0 is /boot). Recently the root file system was remounted read-only for some reason. The logs don't show anything unusual, presumably the file system was read-only before anythng was logged. Running dmesg showed this error repeated many times: EXT3-fs error (device

R-1.1.0 on Alpha?
Has anyone succeeded in compiling R-1.1.0 on a Digital (Compaq) Alpha running OSF4.0F (or E)? Everything seems to compile OK (except the frequent "Warning: Unresolved:" at link time - this threw me off the scent for a while!), but then at run time I get: Fatal error: The X11 shared library could not be loaded. The error was dlopen: cannot load
