Converting time from HH:MM:SS to only HH:MM
Hi all, I need to compare between times and put all similar times in specific 1 minute bins. Unfortunately the original data include seconds as well. My data is in HH:MM:SS format but I need it rounded to only HH:MM and trying in Excel to display "unique" records only does not work since the seconds are not unique. Is there an easy way using perhaps CHRON to change all from the

HH.EXE location
This is related to my post about .chm where vitamin set me on the right path. http://forum.winehq.org/viewtopic.php?t=1026 Since then I reinstalled Ubuntu 8.04 and wine. While perusing the virgin registry I noticed the chm.file ...command key was: C:\windows\system32\hh.exe %1 There is no hh.exe located in that directory. The hh.exe file is located in the C:\windows\ directory. If wine uses the

Viewing .CHM files with hh.exe from command line

Help with charting time in seconds as HH:MM:SS on charts
Hello, I am dealing with data stored in a database as a 'time' object. I export the data from the database to a text file and utilize the 'time_to_sec()' function of the database to convert the human readable time (HH:MM:SS) to seconds so that I can use R to do analysis and create charts of the data. I do not need or use days or dates in the data, and the data range is from

Revised Rcmdr.HH package
I posted a revised Rcmdr.HH_1.8-0 package on CRAN. The Rcmdr.HH package adds additional menu items to the Rcmdr package by John Fox. Our introductory course at Temple University includes several topics that were not addressed in the Rcmdr. This revision uses the new RcmdrPlugin technology that John announced a few days ago. histogram for time with format hh:mm
Hi, I have a dataset and calculated the time difference between two time variables. The output is somewhat like *"1/29/2324 1:57:39 AM".* I want to plot a histogram for this variable. When I gave *hist()* command it returned an error saying *"Error in hist.default(num) : 'x' must be numeric"* Can anybody guide me on this as to how should I plot the histogram for this?

Director mailserver health monitoring script
Timo et al; The last bit of functionality that the Dovecot director is missing compared to our existing load balancers is mailserver health monitoring. As I understand it, if a mailserver goes down, Dovecot does not take any action to route connections around the offline node, and will keep trying to proxy clients to it. Since we're hoping to cut over to Directors soon, but don't want to

How do you join a Linux mailserver to a Samba domain?
thx, Bob . . . The e-mail problems appears to be a permissions and summary file issue. I gave the users Administrative permissions, and everything worked perfectly. Then I compacted the folders and rebuilt the summary files, took away Administrator permissions, and everything STILL works perfectly. When I posted the question, I wondered if there was some step in joining the mailserver
