My system just upgraded itself to wxGtk 2.4.2. I re-built everything, and had no compile errors. The minimal sample worked fine. I haven''t had a chance to do more testing. But, it appears that wxruby is compatible with wxWindows 2.4.2. Kevin

I finally got a working native windows build of wxRuby (using a static build of wxWindows so everything is in a single dll -- wxruby.so)! Two things contributed to my success: 1) building wxWindows with the vc++ makefiles (instead of the vc++ projects), and 2) very careful attention to compiler/linker flags specified in extconf.rb. It just takes so long to recompile this from scratch and without dependencies you kind of have to when you change wxWindow.h. I updated a lot of signatures to match the wxWindows header file.
