are there Win32 users that have built wxRuby with VC++ and could put a binary for me online?
Hi all, are there any Win32 users that have built wxRuby with VC++ and could put a binary for me online? (Or send it to me?) I am using Andy Hunt''s one-click-installer Ruby-1.8.10. Thanks. Gerard Vreeswijk

Rake and VC++ 6
Has anybody tried the new wxruby-swig from the msvc++ command line compiler using ''rake''? The rakefile seems to depend on the wx_config method, which doesn''t exist for msw because it doesn''t have BASH to execute the shell script. Has anyone hacked the rakefile to fix this? Nick

error finding library when running test program
I''m new to Ruby and wxRuby, and I just installed Ruby 185-21 (I run WinXP), then used gem to install wxRuby2. When I try to run a short test program (included below), I get this error: C:\Documents and Settings\Mike\Desktop>ruby test.rb c:/ruby/lib/ruby/site_ruby/1.8/rubygems/custom_require.rb:27:in `gem_original_require'': no such file to load -- wxruby (LoadError)

MediaCtrl?
Hi. First of all, thank you for your hard work - wxRuby (with wxSugar) is a wonderful tool! I have been playing with it on and off for a year or so for toy projects and really like it! I need to play mediafiles (mostly mp3s) from within an application. In wxwidgets (the c++) I can use wxMediaCtrl. As I understand it this class is not implemented in wxRuby - right? Is there a reason for this - is

Wx::TextCtrl and wxMSW
Hey Alex, Found a solution to the problem that was occuring with wxMSW and the Wx::TextCtrl, have yet to verify that this will work in linux, but my little trick to the matter, was simple, thanks to the things that are provided with both Wx::TextCtrl, and Wx::Window classes. I''m providing this bit of information for thoes who may have trouble with dealing with Wx::TextCtrl, _AND_ have

[LLVMdev] State of CMake build system.
IMHO, the CMake-based build system is almost complete enough to replace current MSVC++ project files (modulo some community review and bug-fixing). Is this enough for adding it to the LLVM repo? >From the point of view of a MSVC++ user, the new build system is trivial to maintain: you can add a new library or tool executable in less time that it takes to open the project file on MSVC++, it

News for OS X Users
Sorry things have gone silent on the release front, but I have some good news: I''ve gotten wxruby-swig to build as a OS X framework. This has a couple of ramifications 1) wxruby for the Mac will finally exactly like its Linux and PC counterparts, menu bar and all. 2) Bundling wxruby applications becomes a lot easier. 3) The next binary installer should be able to support darwinports,

Win32 Compile
Hey Alex, I know I proabbly asked you this in the past, but what environment are you using to compile wxRuby and wxMSW in? Is it VC6? I want to know, so I can see about setting up this environment for myself, to do some compiles of SVN wxRuby on Windows. Let me know, and l8ers, -- Mario Steele http://www.trilake.net http://www.ruby-im.net http://rubyforge.org/projects/wxruby/

The great MSVC wxruby-swig bug hunt!
Hi everyone, As Kevin has just announced, wxruby-swig has been moved into CVS as a toplevel project. It still is not in a "releasable" form yet, but it now builds on more systems than it doesn''t, and is moving towards stability. Because of the complexity of the build environment, we''re using rake (http://rake.rubyforge.org) as a build system instead of the standard
