update on samples
Hi all
Have been taking a look at the samples to see what''s broken. Not looking
TOO bad overall, but a few problems we should try and tackle before alpha:
Firstly, I have a few commits (minimal, dialogs, unicode) - anyone else
been working on these or can I go ahead?
One general issue is that many of the samples rely on being run from
their own directory, but don''t enforce

Quand j'exécute (avec scite) mon fichier "Rss-wxruby.rbw" qui est encodé
en utf8 et qui habituellement(avec les anciennes versions de ruby,
wxruby et scite) fonctionne correctement, j'obtient ce message

Samples
Updated all the sample files to add the shebang line and the require
code we discussed.
I also added the wxRuby copyright notice to all the samples I know I
added (I may have missed some).
Next, how about we rename all the .rbw files to .rb and update bigdemo?

Adding to the wiki
I just put up a "Extending wxruby for dummies" which describes how to
wrap your favorite wxWidgets class with a .t file. This does not cover
wxruby-swig, as that is still a work in progress.

Fixes up some methods used in the scrolled window.
[For giggles, try putting a GC.disable into wxScrolledWindow.rbw and try
the sample. With my current build on Windows, it''s very ugly what

wxGenericDirCtrl.rbw and bigdemo.rb.patch file.
Note that we still have the extension .rbw on all the samples. Maybe we
should mass-migrate them to .rb (and fix bigdemo.rb)?

Patches for bigdemo
Included are three patches to make the mdi demo work properly:
main.rbw: Call init_all_image_handlers (Is there any reason we
shouldn''t just do this for people? Why make them call this? Is there a
downside to initializing image handlers?)
wxScrolledWindow.rbw: Uncommented call to draw_spline
wxDC.h: Added another prototype of draw_spline so draw_spline will work
in the demo

Wx::StatusBar set_status_widths returns argument error
Hi,
I added the following line in samples/wxStatusBar.rbw
set_status_widths(1, 100) # Doc: set_status_widths(Integer n, Integer
widths)
Got error:
wxStatusBar.rbw:17:in `set_status_widths'': wrong # of arguments(2 for
1) (ArgumentError)
wxRuby version: wxruby-1.9.6-x86-mingw32.

nothing happens unless I move the mouse

I tried to think of a good subject, but that was the best I could come
up with. Here is my problem (pretty much same as before).
I have a program I''ve written, and I want to write a wxRuby front end
for it. There are hooks in the program that call methods in the
wxRuby part of things, however, nothing happens in the actual program
