wxDebug
For debug builds we define __WXDEBUG__ and WXDEBUG=1. In the swig code
we add a check for wxDEBUG to directors. My guess is we mean for one of
those defines to be the other. Which one should we change? wxDEBUG->
WXDEBUG or WXDEBUG-> wxDebug?

Compiling problem on Ubuntu 9.10 64 bit
Hello,
I''m trying to compile wxruby for Ruby 1.9 on Ubuntu Karmic 64 bit, but I
can''t get it to work. I''ve already done this for the 32 bit version (on
another machine, of course), so I don''t see where''s the problem with
that. I thought, I had all neccessary libraries installed, but maybe you
know better... After compiling for a long time, rake fails

Building wxruby-swig for Mac
0.0.5 sure gets the Mac build a lot further.
There''s a bug in the wxMac-2.4.2 distribution that I''m running into:
wx-config wants to invoke a program in the source directory at link
time. That''s ugly in itself, but it tries to use a variable
${top_srcdir} to accomplish this, and it''s apparently empty. It tries
to invoke

Re: ANN: wxRuby 0.1.0 Alpha has been released!
I''m not a Linux user. I suggest you subscribe to the wxRuby ML and get
advice there from other Linux users. For the time being, I''ll cross-post
this message to the wxRuby ML.

Wizards
Hi
Please find attached a set of patches and swig files to implement
Wizards for wxruby. Also a brief sample.
Quick q - the C declarations of evt_xxx_xxx methods and their attaching
to Ruby classes seems to be duplicated across Events.i and EvtHandler.i
- is one of these the right place to be adding them? or both?
Thanks
alex

App#on_assert, wxDEBUG
Hi all,
I just checked in support for overriding App#on_assert. Mainly because I
was really tired of the "looping crash" I have mentioned before, which
happens on my system whenever an assert is caught by the default handler
built into wx.
Separate topic: wxRuby does some cool diagnostics when wxDEBUG is
defined. I''m not sure we want to ship with wxDEBUG enabled, but I sure

instabilities in wxRuby 1.9.6
I have recently started to use wxRuby, because I have used the wxWidgets
library from C++ for a few years and found it an excellent toolkit. I am
using Ubuntu 8.04 and version 1.9.6 of wxRuby.
A problem though is a number of instabilities. This may be due to my own
ignorance, but I have usually found C++/wxWidgets, once the program compiles
it will at least stay working, if at times
