Using RichEdit 2 or 3 control
WxRuby1 only defines the constant for RichEdit 1.0. From reading MSDN,
features of the 2.0 or 3.0 version of this control are superior. I found
the constant that enables use of the later version in the style parameter
of the constructor:
TE_RICH2 = 32768
I think RichEdit2 or 3 is automatically used depending on what is
available in the
Windows installation.
Hope this tip helps others.

Richedit problem
Hi All,
I've tried to run my software using wine...
It looks like work,
connection into database.... work...
but there's something missing... these are the comment :

RichEdit and Dlls
Hello All,
I have an app that I wrote a few years ago with Delphi 5 and one of its components is a RichEdit. That's the only thing that does not work when running it with WIne. I've got the latest build for SuSE 8, version 20020804 and it does not work as well. I know Wine has richedit.dll as part of it but would I have to install MFCs dlls or anyother dll to enable it to run.

Problem with simple mud client in Wine (richedit issue)
There is a simple mud that has it's own windows client that I would like to get running in Wine. I've followed all the installation instructions from various places, and I finally got the program up and running, however I have an issue.

As background, I happen to be a blind person who uses a screen reader
utility to operate
the computer. I use the keyboard rather than mouse for input and the

migration problem at vampire step
We have run into the following problem when trying to run vampire
against our PDC. I am not sure how to interprete the error messages
here. Why are there 2 line numbers given? I have run into other
problems with smbldap-tools and am not sure how to interprete those
errors either.

smbldap-groupmod problem
Hi, i'm having a problem with the smbldap-groupmod. I tried to change
the users of some groups, i get an error message. The action indeed
execute, as the users was removed or added from the group, but an error
is throwed in the output:

Hi, for those who are using ldap for managing Samba, here's a quick
script I wrote to make it simple to list users or machines on the
commandline. I use it to delete old machine entries that are not in use
anymore.
For usage, read the perldoc in the script. Place the script in the same
directory as you have your other smbldap-tools scripts.

[PATCH 1/2] Add type checking, support integers as value
Before this patch, Python would segfault once you pass a non-string key
or value to node_set_value. It was also not possible to set bytes on
Python 3 as Unicode was assumed (Python 2 was not affected by this).
This patch fixes recognition of bytes for Python 3, but in addition it

I was updating the R-cmdr add-on (v.1.1-6 to the latest v.1.2) for R
(v.2.2.0) in a SunOS9 environment and came across some warnings during my
installation - it seems to download the dependencies but runs into the
following during install:

It claims not to be able to create gcc output files (executables) for the installation.
This is puzzling since I've been able to install other packages with the same PATH variables and all.
