hierarchical partitioning
Dear all,
I am trying to model variation of distribution of species assemblages
according to environmental variables. For that I use a log linear
multinomial regression.
In order to select variables that mostly discriminate the assemblages, I
tried to apply a hierarchical partitioning protocol to my data set.
For that I have adapted the all.regs() for multinomial model.
The problem is that I

bootstrap function coefficients
Dear R community,
Please, can you help me with a problem concerning bootstrap. The data table
called «RMika», contained times (Tps) and corresponding concentration of a
chemical in a soil (SolA). I would like to get, by bootstraping, 10
estimations of the parameters C0 and k from the function: SolA =
C0*exp(-k*Tps).
# First, I fit the data and all is OK

multinomial MCMCglmm
Dear all,
I would like to add mixed effects in a multinomial model and I am trying
to use MCMCglmm for that.
The main problem I face: my data set consits of a trapping data set,
where the observation at eah trap (1 or 0 for each species) have been
aggregated per traplines. Therefore we have a proportion of
presence/absence for each species per trapline.

have_tag for href with specific link?
Hi folks,
I''m trying out this idea of "outside-in" and writing specs for my views
first. Being a person who generally starts with some scribbles of a user
interface and moves right to models, this has yet to be fun, but I''m
giving it a shot.
My question: I''m trying to specify that an index page should show a list
of things, each with a link to a delete

sorting <a href..> with D&D follows the link (browser thinks I click)
Hi all,
I''ve just added d&d sorting to a list where each item is a link_to ..
Problem: when I drop an item to its new location, the browser think I
clicked, and follows the link.
Any idea?
TIA.

RE: sorting <a href..> with D&D follows the link(browser thinks I click)
Maybe don''t make anchor tags draggable? Or you could do something like
change the href to point to ''#'' and move the actual href into your
javascript, and only call it if they click without dragging. Still, I
think making a clickable item draggable is begging for problems.

Not all the disks have a non-empty ovf:fileRef, see in particular:

multiple comparisons for lme using multcomp
Dear R-help list,
I would like to perform multiple comparisons for lme. Can you report to me
if my way to is correct or not? Please, note that I am not nor a
statistician nor a mathematician, so, some understandings are sometimes
quite hard for me. According to the previous helps on the topic in R-help

Basic questions on nls and bootstrap
Dear R community,
I have currently some problems with non linear regression analysis in R.
My data correspond to the degradation kinetic of a pollutant in two
different soil A and B, x data are time in day and y data are pollutant
concentration in soil.
In a first time, I want to fit the data for the soil A by using the Ct =
C0*exp(-k*Tpst) with Ct the concentration of pollutant at time t, C0

Hello Amelie,
I don't have an answer to your question, but I just wanted to point out
this page I noticed recently (
http://hlplab.wordpress.com/2009/05/07/multinomial-random-effects-models-in-r/),
which might be helpful.
I'm also interested in figuring out how to do a multinomial glmm, so if you
find out anything I'd be happy to hear more about it! Based on what I've
found so
