I like to have a continuously running R process, which can receive a dataframe from a client (over TCP/IP), does some processing, and sends some data back. What is the prefered way to do this? With plots "at the same screen" I meant overlaid and not one beside the other, i.e., only one plot with all the points (1 to 10) in blue (or any other color), the points 5 to 9 in red and a regression line from points 5 to 9. I understood that R takes a fixed amount of memory at startup (which I can influence with --vsize --nsize) and that gc() shows the memory still free of the total memory reserved for R.
