Xend highly uses CPU with multiprocessor setup
Hi all, I am experiencing issue on freshly upgraded Debian Squeeze with Xen 4.0.1 from Debian repositories. After upgrade the system with Xen was slow - no iowaits only Steal time was high. I tried workarounds regarding ACPI - only acpi=off was working but the performance decrease was quite large due to only one CPU core was active at that time. The last workaround I am running right now is to

Bug#693217: Removal of xenstore tdb file before xenstored daemon
Package: xen-utils-common Version: 4.0.0-1 Consider removal of xenstored tdb file (located at /var/lib/xenstored/tdb) before start of xenstored daemon during the boot (or removal during the shutdown/reboot of the server) as proposed by Ian Campbell during our discussions [1]. vCPUs and Weight/Caps
Hello Everyone, I am hoping I can get some help with how vCPUs work with weights and caps 1. If I have a domU with 2 vCPUs and a weight of 256, does the weight double (512) or is this 256 time slice across both vCPUs. If the weight does not double, how is it beneficial to have multiple vCPUs? 2. If the domU has 2vCPUs and a cap of 100% how does this work since 100% is a mex of one physical

Xen+Munin+Monit?
Hi All, What is the best way to remotely monitor/administer a group of xen domUs across a network? We''re planning to deploy a few H/W servers with paravirtualized domUs. What are the best alternatives? What works and What doesn''t? Share your experiences. Cheers Rajan _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com

PE850 Interrupt conflicts on CentOS 5 and onboard ethernet and pci-e serial
Hello, I have an interrupt conflict between a two port pci-e serial card and the onboard ethernet controllers in a PowerEdge 850. I'm running kernel 2.6.18-194.26.1.el5PAE with bios revision A04. In every instance, the two serial ports have been allocated the same interrupts as the two ethernet controllers. I have tried many kernel boot options, including acpi=off, pci=noirq, acpi=noirq.

However, I want a fair comparison between LLVM performance and the native x86 codegen. If I don't give LLVM the same information the x86 codegen has, it's an unfair comparison.

laptop keyboard not detected under xen
I have a TOSHIBA Satellite S855 with Bios 6.60 laptop. When I try to use xen-4.3 with it I cannot get the keyboard to work... If I plug in a USB keyboard the USB keyboard functions fine... I suspect Xen might have problems with this hardware. I am running archlinux with the 3.9.3-1Arch kernel and xen-4.3 from the aur. I see the same problem with xen-4.2 for what it is worth. Back trace from rcutree.c after resuming from S3
Hi, after solving the issue I had with a DVB tuner I tested again suspending and resuming from S3. I am now running Xen 4.2.0 and have applied patches [1] and [2] (any idea why they are still not in mainline?) over a 3.5.3 kernel. I only tried once since I upgraded my Xen, but after resuming I got the following back trace: [ 142.267299] pcieport 0000:00:1c.5: wake-up capability enabled by ACPI
