I used to upgrade samba3 to samba4 with almost successful with one problem,

user account that is given full control over the system.
My query is how to change the administrator password? we have one account
which can join to the samba 4 AD based on the migrated data but the problem

Re: LARTC Digest, Vol 2, Issue 40
Hi Marcin,
There is no problem to make limitation on a linux bridge. The rule must
be the same as for a router: there must be applied on eth0 and eth1.
All my best,

Wine on Redhat 9
Hello,
I reciently installed wine on my linux box. It worked fine with winamp
2.91 and if I opened Cstrike.exe it asked for a cdkey, but I was unable
to enter one, nothing would be registered, but that was ok with me, I
had winamp. lol. When I installed ATI's drivers and went to run winamp,
cstrike, or whatnot, I get a black screen, my monitor displays "Power

However the moment that i put a password on the

Samba 2.2.8a Print Driver Issues Solaris 8
Hi;
I've reciently upgraded 3 print servers on Solaris 8 from Samba 2.0.9 to
2.2.8a and am running in to difficulties related to clients being able to
configure printer drivers. I do not use the [print$] for serving up drivers
to install from the print server. I provide access to drivers from a common
share from the Microsoft Domain the print servers participate in. I'm still

New CentOS DNS Server woes
Hi folks,
I've put my new DNS server in place, told the primary that this IP would
be pulling zones and restarted BIND on the primary.
I configured my named.conf file to pull zones from the primary, started

esfq hash type
Hi
I have a small lan (10.0.0.0/8) behind my linux box. I use MASQUERADE to allow
users connects to internet.
I set up an esfq qdisc for outgoing traffic. And there is a little

BIND issues, server not responding
Hi all,
My CentOS 5 nameserver is seemingly unable to be queried by anything but
itself (localhost, 127.0.0.1). From any other machine, including the
primary which *does* transfer zone files correctly to this machine
(which is secondary), requests time out.
I've put SELinux into permissive mode, so I don't think that's an issue.
/var/named/chroot/etc/named.conf begins thus:

NT Crashes when doing large network file Xfers (was Re: NT crashes during smbtar)
Ernie,
Thanks for the great info.. Based on what you were seeing, would
you suspect that part of the problem is with the combination of NT
and the 3com card (3c595)? Currently, we are ONLY seeing this
under NT Workstation (not server) and almost all of our machines
have this same 3com 3c595 card (only if using 100BaseT)..

OT: good free DNS tools?
Hey guys and gals,
Anyone know of a half decent tool like DNSstuff.com only free?
I need to run some diag on a few domains but it is basically a 1 shot
deal and hard to justify buying.
thanks,
