create matrix
Hi all, I have a dataset consisting of 5 columns and over 5000 rows. Each row gives information about an individual animal, including longevity, i.e. at what age an animal died. For the model I use I need to create n rows for each animal, n being its longevity, and a new column 'survival' with a binary 0/1 outcome. When an animal died e.g. at age 5, there have to be 5 rows of identical

NUT for Windows + Eaton/PW 5110
Nut for Windows 2.6.3-3 + Eaton/PW 5110 (103004256-5591). I had to manually install libusb driver and I'm using bcmxcp_usb. upsd.exe is reporting to me "Out of memory". It will run, but once anything connects to the daemon, it dies with that message. I don't have much experience with NUT yet so I'm not sure what the next course of action is. I do have NUT for Windows

Survival Curves
Hello I'm trying to make survival curves for some longevity data - 100 males and 100 females, some of which are still living (not dead at the end of survey) I would like to make sex specific survival curves as time on the X axis, proportion alive on the Y, and a line for each sex (two lines) Data looks like this: Focal DOB DOD Longevity Sex 1 89-04-20 na

For APC Back UPS ES users
?With Arnaud Quette's help, I have tried to fix the regression concerning the APC Back UPS ES unit. This regression is related to an issue in this UPS firmware. It cannot be reverted to previous version because the current code fixes communication issue with others UPS (which behave correctly, but are not very permissive). So we (Arnaud and I) have decided to add a tweak (call it a hack if you

NUT 2.6.3-1 Windows package
Hello all, There is a new Windows package of NUT. It now contains nut-scanner binary. Note that there is a known issue with libupsclient.dll with nut-scanner. The scan of NUT servers using nut-scanner will not work for now. You can find it at : http://www.networkupstools.org/source/2.6/NUT-Installer-2.6.3-1.msi Please send feedback to the list. Survreg(), Surv() and interval-censored data
Can survreg() handle interval-censored data like the documentation says? I ask because the command: survreg(Surv(start, stop, event) ~ 1, data = heart) fails with the error message Invalid survival type yet the documentation for Surv() states: "Presently, the only methods allowing interval censored data are the parametric models computed by 'survreg'"

Network UPS Tools version 2.6.5 released
Network UPS Tools version 2.6.5 has been released: http://www.networkupstools.org/ Among the many improvements and bugfixes, this release fixes the upssched regression, that rendered it unusable. Update to 2.6.5 is thus highly recommended. As noted in the news, website hosting is under migration. While I don't expect any service disruption, please report any issue you may face. Direct

wined3d in windows 98 - illegal operation.
Hey all! I have recently installed a windows 98 vm on VmWare workstation in my win7x64 host os. I have downloaded wined3d from: http://www.nongnu.org/wined3d/ it says that those are builds for win32 apps, but when the installer runs I see that some syswow64 (which is a 64 bit app folder) is getting created and some dlls into it installed. Does this mean my windows 98 has now 64 bit dlls and that

Perhaps a Complicated Question
My network at home/home office is primarily a Windows environment. However, I have 3 ReadyNAS Ultra machines which use NUT for UPS monitoring. The ReadyNAS devices are running a slightly modified Debian (2.6.37.6.RNx86_64.2.4) with NUT 2.0.5. What I would like to do is add some sort of web-based UPS monitoring on my intranet web server (IIS 7.5 on 2008 R2), however nut-cgi appears to be

nut-scanner pthread issue
Hi, the terminating part of nut-scanner can crash in pthread code, because some threads won't exist. For example snmp part: ============================== if( allow_snmp && nutscan_avail_snmp ) { if( start_ip == NULL ) { printq(quiet,"No start IP, skipping SNMP\n"); } else { printq(quiet,"Scanning SNMP bus.\n"); #ifdef HAVE_PTHREAD if(

[LLVMdev] Make install drops 64-bit LLVM in Windows x86 program folder
Hi, I just did a "make install" on Win7x64 using Mingw64 and it dropped off the files in "C:\Program Files (x86)\LLVM". That's almost right, but nicer would be if the 64-bit build was dropped off in "C:\Program Files\LLVM". I am fairly confident that it is me who is doing something wrong because I simply do this: (retrieve trunk version of LLVM, Clang,

Will be rarely used but needs to be very good quality and needs longevity of business (eg this number is going into print so company needs to be around for a while). Please email with rates and details. Cheers, Dean -------------- next part -------------- An HTML

SSDs and filesystem alignment...
Does BTRFS perform any journal and/or filesystem structure alignment (for benefit to SSD longevity and SSD, RAID array and large-sector device performance) at present? ext4''s Ted Tso will deliver 128KB alignment with the next release of e2fsprogs (ie 1.41.4) [1], so perhaps it''s a good idea for btrfsprogs also, if not already available? what is the centos/elrepo policy toward LTS kernels?
i'm sure there's a simple answer to this -- i already understand that newer kernels than the ones shipped with the official release aren't officially supported but there is the elrepo kernel repository here: http://elrepo.org/linux/kernel/el7/x86_64/RPMS/ with a mixture of long-term (lt) and mainline (ml) kernels. i assume that the mainline kernels pretty closely track the latest
