director + lmtp + ldap user
Hi,
recently I have migrated our prevoius dovecot-lda to 2.2 with director + lmtp.
And we are having some issues.
When lmtp delivers to ldap uid names everything works except sieve
vacation (login is not found in headers so reply is not sent).
When using full email addresses in rcpt to vacation works but
usernames are inconsistent (one user can login using his email
address, or aliases,

solr vs fts
Hi
I have a question about tunning dovecot-2.2.36.x
Mail was stared in storage via nfs in MAILDIR via
/home/us/username at domain.ltd/MAILDIR/
I use additionally local dovecot_indexes via SSD disk
(/var/dovecot_indexes%h)
A few clients have 25K and more e-mail
I thinking about use solr like:
?fts = solr
?fts_solr = debug url=http://IP:8983/solr/ (solr in external machine)
Does it make sense ?

Error: Raw backtrace and index cache
Firstly, 2.2.13 is about 5 years old. So there's that. It would be
helpful if you can reproduce this with 2.2.36.
Also, you forgot to actually include in your log snippet the panic. So
maybe few more lines before the Raw backtrace?

This is likely fixed in more recent version, can you try with 2.2.36?

corrupted indexes rebuilding over and over
Hi,
On saturday one of our dovecot machines had an OOPS, and we had to
powercycle it. When it came up, it did a filesystem fsck (ext4) and
fixed a couple things, but nothing in lost+found.
Now, about 50 users have a problem where their indexes are
corrupted. Dovecot tries to fix them, but for some reason it is
failing. The users are seeing their mails duplicated and they cannot
delete mails. I

corrupted indexes rebuilding over and over
Hi,
we had the same problem after a system failure. Our problem could be
solved by
rm /PATH/USER/mdbox/storage/dovecot.map.index*
doveadm -D -v force-resync -u USER INBOX
Best regards,
Gordon

Fts solr and https
Hello,
Excuse me,
Is dovecot really unable to work with solr through https ?
I tried to change ssl_client_ca_dir and ssl_client_ca_file, but nothing.

outlook and redirect sieve
Hi Aall,
we are having issues with outlook clients, running exchange or lotus
being unable to parse the email messages redirected by
dovecot's sieve 0.3.1, the command is plain redirect "email at lotusmail.xxx";
redirects from mta also work correctly
exchange was fixed by removing this commit

Sorry for my english.
I configured Samba as DC and when I use win 10, everything is ok, but win

disks, but dosn't attach them while logging in. Win 10 does.

forwarding calls thru Freshtel
Hi,
I'm having some problems getting calls to go out via freshtel.
There dosn't seem to be any specific information on how to get it
working anywhere.
The only information I've found is here:
http://www.voip-info.org/wiki-Freshtel
and that dosn't give you any idea of how to actually get it working.
I've tried adapting information from other IAX2 provider examples but

Converting layouts
Hello,
I'm using dovecot 1.2.10 with mbox format (which implies layout=fs)
and I would like to switch to maildir++ layout without changing format
in order to implement subfolders for IMAP users. I understand that I
should move the INDEX location to avoid some namespace conflict (it
would be a good idea anyway: I'll move them on another disc :).
Now I have
