Bug#588888: boot="d" does not boot from CD
I have followed this bug report only to wind up in a similar predicament.
The Error: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'rfind' was fixed by installing xen-qemu-dm-4.0.
However the same configuration issue (trying to boot the guest from a CD) with the 'boot' option exists for me too.
Your configuration looks good unless I've missed something.

Bug#681376: Xen hypervisor package not upgraded on dist-upgrade Squeeze to Wheezy
Package: src:xen
Severity: important
Version: 4.1.3~rc1+hg-20120614.a9c0a89c08f2-2
I recently upgrade from Squeeze to Wheezy on a system which had the
xen-linux-system-686-pae metapackage (one of two which Provides:
xen-linux-system). After dist-upgrade I had the new xen-utils-common and
xenstore-utils (and a few others) but not the xen-utils-4.1 or
xen-hypervisor-4.1-i386 or xen-hypervisor-amd64

Bug#681213: Full logs?
Hi Orazio,
Is "NoneType object is unsubscriptable" the full and complete error message?
I'd have expected some sort of accompanying backtrace, if not on the console
then in /var/log/xen/*
Is this issue by any chance fixed by installing the xen-qemu-dm-4.0 package?
Lastly, does this happen with the packages from Wheezy?
Thanks,
Ian.

sed -i "s/TOOLSTACK=/TOOLSTACK=xapi/" /etc/default/xen

jessie, xen: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'rfind'
Hi,
I have a problem that I can't solve it: the hvm-guest don't start (same
image works under Xen 4.01 on another machines).
Further I'm confust, because I had to use xm instad of xl.
A PV-guest works fine. I start it with 'xm create jessie'.
Some data you can see down. What further information do you need?

Justification: allows PV domains to escape into the dom0 context
Hi,
I realize you're most likely pretty well aware of that problem already, but
Debian's Xen versions are vulnerable to a PV privilege escalation [1]. The issue
is tracked as CVE-2012-0217 and public as of today.
Therefore I am filing this bug for coordination

Dear Maintainer,
The script /usr/lib/xen-common/bin/xen-toolstack improperly aborts if *either*
`xm` or `xl` cannot be found in the xen-dir (/usr/lib/xen-4.0/bin). This means
that a default installation (e.g. following Debian wiki on the subject, namely

During startup /etc/init.d/xendomains script is called. That script is installed
with xen-utils-common witch xcp-xapi is depends on.
That script calls /usr/sbin/xen

This 'xen' seems to call xapi:
