GS BT200 dialling PC501
I have just upgraded my Polycom 501's from 1.6.2.0041 to 2.1.0.2708 to get the microbrowser. Almost everything is fine except when receiving calls from a BT200 (1.1.14 and earlier) the Polycom rings but when answered, drops out and the BT200 gets a busy tone. I have many PAP2T's and SPA3000's etc and they all cal call the Polycom without problem. Does anyone know what could be going

CAS signalling and FAX solution
I am trying to solve the fax problem by installing an E1 channelbank (Megaplex MP-104) It's a box that has 8 x FXS ports and a single E1 port. The plan was to use one of my 4 E1 ports to connect to the Telstra onramp and one to the MP104. I have since discovered however that the MP104 only supports CAS signalling and I am having trouble getting asterisk to work in this mode. Currently we

Cisco 7940 and PJSIP registration
Thank you. I read that last yesterday afternoon, and I could've sworn I tried that but I will look into it again (I've tried so many different things it was getting cloudy what I've tried and what worked etc, combined that the extension config gets messed up after playing with it so much so I'm often recreating it as well). I also found a bug report in the FreePBX bug tracker

Crash-report; 2.2.19pre14-ext3-0.0.6b
Our main NFS-server, running Debian Potato, died this morning whilst under quite heavy load - due to a runaway perl-script forking of some 200 instances of "/bin/cp" (the load was ~ 50). The server is running 2.2.19pre14 with ext3-0.0.6b. The server is running kernel-nfs. Assertion failure in journal_dirty_metadata() at transaction.c line 796: "bh->b_next_transaction ==

Asterisk 13 chan_sip trunk appending @string to dialled number
Yes indeed. Do you have the dialplan, eg from /etc/asterisk/extensions.conf? Something is getting this OUT_3_SUFFIX variable and including it in a Dial to 172.22.4.12. Asterisk 13 chan_sip trunk appending @string to dialled number
Hello, So, I found this line under macro-dialout-trunk, in extensions_additional.conf (FreePBX, so it controls the conf files mostly); exten => s,n,Dial(${OUT_${DIAL_TRUNK}}/${OUTNUM}${OUT_${DIAL_TRUNK}_SUFFIX},${TRUNK_RING_TIMER},${DIAL_TRUNK_OPTIONS}) If I grep for OUT_3_SUFFIX in all files in /etc/asterisk I get nothing.. Here's a paste of a few things out of the two files that I

Asterisk 13 chan_sip trunk appending @string to dialled number
David, I should also note; 246 is my extension, it has IP 172.22.3.238. 172.22.4.8 is the PBX, and 172.22.4.12 is the 2800 gateway. The trunk is called ?testing? at the moment. The route that selects this trunk uses a 9 prefix. This system is in semi-production, so there might be fluff in the log from other active calls. Tweaks for high-bandwidth tinc
I've been using tinc to do some high bandwidth VPNs between nodes in Amazon's EC2 environment (to work around some limitations there for effectively loadbalancing raw TCP connections while preserving the sources addresses, using Linux IPVS in NAT mode). The raw amount of traffic involved is probably making this a bit of a corner case for tinc. In the overall it has held up remarkably

late or replayed packet warning
I get a lot of these in my log, especially when I am moving lots of traffic across the vpn: Sep 20 10:45:11 titan tinc.tdvpns[16152]: Got late or replayed packet from holden (xx.yy.zz.ww port 655), seqno 37609, last received 37610 (sequence numbers displayed generally differ by only one) What exactly is this trying to say? Surely this doesn't simply mean that the udp packets arrived in a

Cisco 7940 and PJSIP registration
I?ve gotten to the bottom of this; Seems that the pjsip.endpoint_custom.conf isn?t getting included properly, or my syntax is wrong. If I put force_rport=no into pjsip.endpoint.conf and reload only Asterisk, everything works perfectly. Unfortunately, I?m using FreePBX, so it owns this file and my changes won?t persist a FreePBX reload. Brendan Ord OntheNet - Network Engineer P 07 5553 9222 F
