Problems with udev on FC3
I've been testing * on FC3. I have everything compiled and installed. However, when I do 'modprobe wcfxo' (I have an X100P clone), I get the following in /var/log/messages: Nov 24 10:23:40 jfd wait_for_sysfs[3366]: either wait_for_sysfs (udev 039) needs an update to handle the device '/class/zaptel/zaptimer' properly (no device symlink) or the sysfs-support of your

"Out the box" solutions?
Hi, again. I've spent a week trying to get asterisk to work on FreeBSD unix, with some success. Everything works until I plug the box into the TELCO line and then the line goes off-hook and stays that way. So I bit the bullet and decided to install the application on a fresh linux install. Not to start an OS war, here, but linux is ... difficult ... for an old unix hand to get his mind

Problem making usbhid-ups working on Centos 5.7
Hello, I've compiled and installed nut-2.7.2 on a Xen server (Actually XCP 1.6/Centos 5.7) to manage a Dell UPS 2700W. Here is my ups.conf : [SU27003U-08] driver = usbhid-ups port = auto desc = "SU27003U-08" 52-nut-usbups.rules have well been installed in /lib/udev/rules.d/. I've put it in /etc/udev/rules.d/ too. I've rebooted the machine.

Need help to install dovecot on solaris 10 with openldap libs
Hi, I install dovecot with ldap support at Solaris 10 (x86). I know that solaris LDAP is broken and so I install openldap. OpenLDAP shared libraries are at /usr/local/lib and /usr/local/include. While installing dovecot, I did the followings: I execute this before run "./configure --with-ldap" LDFLAGS="-L/usr/local/BerkeleyDB.4.2/lib -R/usr/local/BerkeleyDB.4.2/lib

Mounting LUNs from a SAN array - LUN mappings to devices in /dev/ - are they static?
Hi All :) I am currently involved in a project in which there is a SAN array (Sun Storagetek 2540) which exports LUNs for some servers with Centos 5.2 x86. I will be performing a migration to Centos 5.9 x86_64 in some time and am gathering needed info now :) I am trying to find the place in the OS where there is the information about LUN mappings to /dev/ devices. For example on array level I
