IP Tunneling
Hello I have /25 addressed on a box (virtual devices on eth0) and I want to tunnel some of these addresses to my home network. One address to my gateway (a.b.c.d, external IP) and one address to my internal network (192.168.0.0/24-style). I will use the tunnels for irc, smtp and surfing. What protocol and which technique is easiest and best to use? One more thing. I don''t want to set up

SIP invite and sip.conf relationship?
I'm having a bit of trouble setting up my sip.conf entries to accept calls from a particular provider, and the problem really is that I am unclear exactly what parts of the INVITE are supposed to match what parts of sip.conf. I couldn't find this info on the wiki, so if someone here can shed some light, I would be very grateful! Here are the relevant lines from the INVITE (from sip

policy routing at its best
hello list (and martin) ;x i have now composed my final(?) policy routing design. the goals i had when beginning with this, for you that have not follow mine and martins thread, was to 1) only let 192.168.1/24 to see all routes, 2) not route between defined networks, except to and from 192.168.1/24 and 3) not defined networks should only be able to reach 192.168.1/24. this might sound simple.

Changin password in LDAP
We are using now dovecot 2.0.21 with open-ldap, but this situations has already taken a quite long time. When user changes the password, we have to reload dovecot every time, otherwise the change is ignored and dovecot sees only the old password. Any ideas where the problem might exist? Conf: # 2.0.21: /etc/dovecot/dovecot.conf # OS: Linux 2.6.18-308.24.1.el5 i686 CentOS release 5.9 (Final)

Winbind could not convert sid to gid...
Hi, I'm using the Samba RPM's from Fedora Core 2 RPM's (3.0.7-2.FC2) as an authentication backend for a Squid Proxy server. It all seems to work fine, until I (try to)authenticate against a domain-group.. I started trying with 3.0.6-2.FC2, which also didn't work... This is a pretty clean/fresh installation of Fedora Core 2, for whatever that's worth... I've succeeded

umount 'crashes' after smbmount i/o error
Hi all, The 'I/O error' subject has passed the mailinglist a few times now, but I couldn't find a solution in the archives. Here is what happened to me; I mounted some windows 98 shares onto my Linux Slackware box. After a while I got the (well-known) I/O error on the mounting point when using ls or df. Normally (it happened to me before) I could just umount or smbumount the mount

SAMBA digest 1812
Hi samba list members, Firstly, I've been using Samba for some while now and would to thank the Samba team for such a brilliant effort. I've got a Samba server running on a Linux box for a client (around 25-30 users) which has been running nearly 90 days now without any serious hitches at all. The client is incredibly impressed, over the moon, etc ... so it's probably time to pay up
