Rsyslog and "Error while reading from Linux ethertap device /dev/net/tun: File descriptor in bad state"
Hi, I recently had a machine filling up its harddisk with syslog and tinc pilling up milions of messages like this: "Error while reading from Linux ethertap device /dev/net/tun: File descriptor in bad state" I remembered that there was a difference between rsyslog and other loggers, where one of those was skipping those messages, and simply was displaying: "this message has been

RJava and Orca...
It's cool, it's exciting, and much thanks to Duncan. He announced RJava yesterday (or this morning?) on the R-devel list, and it's really worth it. http://www.omegahat.org/RSJava for more details. But it does mean that we can run Orca code directly within R, (without Thomas' socket connections) (and also means that we really need a "stop" button, since killing

Bad message_id occasionally when connecting a MacOS to a freebsd running 4.8.2
Hi, I am running Samba 4.8.2 with fruit and use it to connect a MacOS to the server. Mostly it works very good, but occasionally the connection halts or the Mac disconnects, and in the log I find these messages: Jun 20 13:00:00 orca smbd[6033]: [2018/06/20 13:00:00.856101, 0] ../source3/smbd/smb2_server.c:641(smb2_validate_sequence_number) Jun 20 13:00:00 orca smbd[6033]:

What I'm seeing is the timestamps from time to time of the data files is being setup "weird" on the system the data is being pulled to. The timestamp should match that of the system the data is pulled from right ?

[LLVMdev] Install fails due to missing 'pax' tool
Vladimir, I believe I've corrected this situation with version 1.299 of Makefile.rules. It now only uses find and install to do the installation of the header files. pax isn't used any more. Hopefully this helps you. Reid. On Wed, 2005-02-16 at 04:18, Vladimir Prus wrote: > Hello, > I've just tries make && make install on a fresh CVS tree, and get: > >

Rewritten script /etc/init.d/tinc
THis is the modified script that came with tinc 1.0pre2, and it now uses ifconfig in stead of ip-route. I changed the syntax to be correct (may already have been fixedin a newer version), it now checks whether or not there is a '/dev/tapX' or a '/dev/netlink/tapX' and it checks if there is a module or not. I also added the force_connect and the reload options. Force_connect send
