AHCI Timeout errors on Intel Patsburg
We're seeing some strange timeout errors on some new Supermicro

It seems that when connnected to the second channel reads often

Setvar in bcmxcp
Greetings,
I have been using the bcmxcp_usb driver heavily over the last two years as part of a very successful product, first from NUT 2.4.1 and now from NUT 2.6.0.
Now I have a need to do setvar of the outlet.n.delay.start variables, so recently I modified bcmxcp.c to do that. I've tested it and it works well for my purposes. My plans are to begin shipping that modified driver as part

How to find out if the installed NIC supports SR-IOV?
Hi,
I am working with a westemere based server. I need to find out if the NIC
installed there supports SR-IOV - what would be the best way to determine
that?

Intel ICH10R on CentOS 5.4
Hey there..
I was wondering if anyone could share experiences they have had
with the Intel ICH10R SATA controller? I tried looking around
but all I could find were RAID references, I have no interest
in using the RAID functionality just basic SATA JBOD. Wondering
if there are any gotchas for performance, drivers, quality etc.
I normally don't touch anything that is not hardware RAID though

Xen hypervisor failed to startup when booting CPUs
Hi Folks:
I run into a problem when enabling Xen in next generation server platforms with Xen c/s is 21380.
Xen reported "CPU Not responding" when booting up 32 CPUs( 2 sockets with 8 cores/16threads total). The log files belonging showed something wrong with APCI. So I added x2apic=0 in the xen grub line, but the symptom remained.
However, Native RHEL5.5 can

Additional instcmds for the Powerware 5115
During the last month, I've been integrating a Powerware 5115 into an embedded system by writing a custom NUT daemon. This work has gone quite well and NUT has been very helpful, but it sure would be nice to have some additional instcmds for the 5115.
The bcmxcp driver comments mention "manuals for the BCM/XCP". I'm wondering if I could get a copy of those so that I might

Infinite loop with bcmxcp_usb and Powerware 5115
I'm running Solaris 11 Express (snv_151a X86) with NUT 2.6.0 compliled
from the source tarball and a Powerware 5115. I was seeing the driver
hang, so gave it some '-D's (23 apparently ;-) and found that it seems
to be getting into an infinite loop when reading data from the UPS.
The debug output is attached and I would be very grateful for some
help or advice on what to try next.

Been searching like crazy to find an answer to this. I have even read some of the source code but cannot figure this one out.
I have installed nut 2.4.1 on my QNAP 409 Pro. (command: ipkg install nut)
I have configured the ups.conf, upsd.conf and upsd.users.
When i run "upsdrvctl start" I get the following error messages and output.

2.6.0 bcmxcp_usb recovery question
Greetings,
The way that bcmxcp_usb reacts to and recovers from a USB cable unplug-plug appears to have changed significantly between 2.4.1 and 2.6.0. While I can see some improvements, bcmxcp_usb 2.6.0 does not appear to handle a USB cable unplug-plug correctly. Does anyone know if this has been fixed in subsequent releases?
Here are the details.
When the USB cable between my server and my

afaik, the megaraid cards are mostly all SAS, which support SATA drives,
except very old ones were SCSI.
Ok, I do see they had a series of MegaRAID SATA 150-xx and 300-xx cards,
these were 64 bit PCI or PCI-X cards.
95Q9 does not appear to be a valid card number, 9240, 9260, 9280 are
some pci-express SAS MegaRaid
