Speakeasy VOIP + Asterisk?
Has anyone tried getting Speakeasy VOIP to work with Asterisk?
I just got Speakeasy DSL and am thinking of trying out their VOIP [1] with
the hope that the quality/stability will be better than broadvoice.
I searched in the usual places (voip-info.org, the asterisk users mailing
list archives [2], dslreports.com) and couldn't find anything. Any other
places I should look?
Thanks,
Simon

syntax for playlist
I should be more specific . What I meant to ask was - is it necessary for the directory that icecast streams or serves files from to "everyone" or the "world" have at least read permissions. I do plan to experiment with the permisions but I was just asking to see if any one had already tried this. I like to lock down my system as much as possible.
Thanks for the help!

[OT} Speakeasy.net
A little off topic this morning...I'm thinking about switching out of
Comast's clutches to another high-speed service. I've tried TDS DSL, but
they were half the speed comast was/is. I''ve looked into Speakeasy, since
I heard a few of ya talking about them. Since I had TDS, that kinda tells
me I can get DSL. I live in Mount Juliet, on MT juliet road, behind the

pull relay problems
heya...
i'm extremely new to the list (10 minutes), and i have a burnin' question
that i was hopin' you folks could help me out with.
i'm running beos as an encoder box, with two streams (8000 and 8001)
hosted on it.
the idea is to use my redhat box to relay those streams to the public
using icecast, allowing the be machines cpu cycles to focus solely on
encoding.
anyway, i

iptables 1.2.5 and shorewall 1.2.8?
Hey all-
Trying to run sh 1.2.8 and iptables 1.2.5 on my linux 2.4.17 box. I
build the kernel from kernel.org sources, and then patched it with
iptables 1.2.5 by doing
%make pending-patches KERNEL_DIR=/usr/src/linux
I let it run and patched these:
Welcome to Rusty''s Patch-o-matic!
Each patch is a new feature: many have minimal impact, some do not.
Almost every one has bugs, so I

static playlist display order
Dear List,
I checked in archives (does the search work? All my queries return no founds,
then I tried just loading the whole thing and using a browser search)
Anyway -- static playlist order. What determines what order the files
displayed by the http://www.server.com:8000/file/ ?
I sorted my playlist alphabetically and started icecast and ices, but the
playlist is still displaying

Engelmann AudioJack
Recently I've started to see quite a few clients connecting with
Engelmann AudioJack ('Engelmann Media Radio Listener' is the browser ID):

Anybody else seeing quite a few of these clients all of a sudden? I
don't have a windows box to try this software on, but from their website
it looks like something equivalent to the XM
