1.9.2, OpenGL
[third sending attempt...] I''m going to try and test out the samples on MSW over the next few days and if things look good I think we should release 1.9.2. Might try and fix the bugs related to TreeCtrl#get_first_child as these might involve minor API changes. So if anyone has any time to test out SVN HEAD and look for anything funny, please do. Also, we have an anonymous patch

wxruby2 problems
Hello, I''ve recently installed wxruby2 (version 1.9.4) from a precompiled mswin32 gem. It seems to work fine, and the samples in the distribution all work, but I have a couple of peculiar problems: 1) When I package a trivial wxruby script with rubyscript2exe, the executable is huge - 8.5 MB. With previous versions of wxruby (prior to wxruby2, I think) it was much smaller. Less than 3

Patches to rake files
rakewx.rb: - Added a $debug_build variable so when we do eventually we can also release non debug builds. I did not make this a constant on purpose so in the package tasks we can change it to false if we want to always make non debug builds by default. - Changed wx_config to use the $debug_build variable rakemswin.rb: - Updated the copyright year. - removed the $DEBUG const and make use of

Array being flattened
Hello All, I''ve run into an issue where an array that''s being passed into a defined type is being "flattened" when it''s inclosed in double quotes and I''m not sure how to get around this. This is happening a the pdxcat/amanda module and I''ve raised an github issues for this but wanted to query the community as a whole. The issue and my branch

1.9.3 release, rakefile
Hi I''d like to put out a 1.9.3 release perhaps later this week/weekend. If you have a chance to test the build and samples esp with latest rubygems, please do. There are still some bugs on the list, and samples to do, but this should address all the build/install probs that have come up. And it would be good to get some testing and feedback on some of the new classes. A note on the

sash position problem
Hi, I''ve written a small app implementing SplitterWindow and have a problem with specifying the sash position on Windows. At the moment, I call split_vertically and pass it a positive integer for position. This works as expected on FreeBSD and Linux (Ubuntu and Debian), but seems to have no effect on Windows. Is there something particular I need to be doing to get this to work on

Patch for Unicode on windows
This patch makes Unicode the default build for windows. You can override the default by setting a WXRUBY_NO_UNICODE environment variable. Roy _______________________________________________ wxruby-users mailing list wxruby-users@rubyforge.org http://rubyforge.org/mailman/listinfo/wxruby-users

wxruby-swig 0.0.12 is up
This one includes the latest App.cpp which includes the Mac fix from Nick. I thought it was in 0.0.11, but it wasn''t. It also adds support for "stock objects", like colours, pens, and fonts. This turned out to be quite challenging, but I''m happy with the solution. It only took a few days :-/ Kevin

Official name change to wxruby2
The CVS module has been renamed from wxruby-swig to wxruby2, and I have checked in the related changes to reflect the name change. Anyone with a CVS tree will need to re-checkout from CVS because of the module name change. There is now a wx.rb in the lib/ directory, which loads the wxruby2 shared library that gets built. I have tagged this as 0.0.22. Next steps: - Apply Choice.i patch from

rakewx
With the recent check-in I accidentally committed my change to rakewx to remove the -fvirtual swig option. -fvirtual is incompatible with SWIG 1.3.30. It''s not necessary (as I recall) for 1.3.29 but only reduces the size of the wrapper code slightly. If anyone feels strongly about this I can make it conditional on the SWIG version but simply removing it seems the safest and

Intriguing developments
Non-debug build of wxRuby allows the tip of the day to be visible on Windows. Also, I get the caret example crashes with page-up on Windows with the ANSI build of wxWindows. I may try the unicode build to see how that works. I''ve been up to my eyeballs working on a release of my company''s software. Once that''s out the door I can hopefully put a few more cycles
